There wasn’t much to explore in terms of the local area, but that didn’t bother us for the stay

We only stayed at the Kokoon hotel for one night but it was perfect for what we needed. We were able to use the gym and the pool before having a delicious meal at the restaurant. The breakfast was also extremely varied and delicious.

The reception was under construction and was currently in the back of the hotel, not really a place to receive guests.

We only stayed for 1 night (arrived late and left early). But the dinner and breakfast in the hotel restaurant were very good.

There were not enough tables for breakfast. A 7 floor hotel with 26 hotel rooms per floor should probably have more than 15 breakfast tables. We were asked to wait when we came in for breakfast or sit in the smoking room. We dodged the smoking room and waited in the reception where we were offered a coffee whilst waiting. After coffee, we decided to skip our prepaid breakfast as there were still no tables available. We were then charged for the coffee as they said it was a specialist coffee. This left a bad impression with us. This part of town is the warehouse district....if you're into that sort of thing.

Our room on the 7th floor was clean but small and definitely needed some tlc..loose control panel, loose tap and very tired sealant around the shower. But perfectly functional

Friendly and helpful staff and a convenient 15 minute taxi ride from Surabaya Gubeng. Reception team were great especially when i realised i had left my phone in the taxi! All retuned safely... Good shower pressure and a nice little alcove to chill and have a beer after a long day's travel.

We only stayed one night but the Neighborhood was not so good. No problem as the hotel was amazing.

It is all well maintained, they have lots of old phones that our kids played with. They had a live singer, pianist and guitarist. Breakfast was good.

I think it is strange that a lot of hotels in Indonesia don't have a fridge in the room. It is for me especially a hassle since I have diabetes and need my medication to be stored at a cool place. Especially my insuline. I mean you should ecxpect a fridge in your room with a 3 star hotel.

The area is too quite, far from the main street and the culinary street, I suggest not to walk alone in the street at night

I like the heritage building & its interior design, especially in the ground floor, from the main entrance to the restaurant. So many old things such as old telephone, old wall clock, etc. The reception staff are also friendly, good breakfast, nice pool to swim in the morning
