Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

We already stayed in some hotels from the Dijiwa Sanctuaries group. This hotel a has a good standard and a good price/value ratio. You have the feeling that you are staying in the jungle, the room is big and well-maintained. We enjoyed our stay !

SingaporeEverything is exceeding 5-star standard, however, the cleaning standard is like 3-star. In general it is acceptable clean, but can be improved, as well as can update things spray hand-shower, or curtains.
The staff is definitely the most friendly and helpful I have ever met in a hotel. We have some issue regarding the room, the manager and staff helped resolve it quickly and effectively. The property is absolutely beautiful. Breakfast is good. We leave early in the morning, they prepared a full package of food for us. My family members had the massage, highly recommended.

NetherlandsWe are used to getting out and about on our own, and possibly biased by that perspective we perceived their questions on plans and activities, as well as their repeated offers for paid excursions and activities a bit pushy. I don't believe the former was primarily sales driven but more borne out of their service oriented mindset to help us enjoy all that Bali has to offer. The latter, however, could be toned down a bit. Costs of the onsite additional services are on the higher end of the spectrum.
Super friendly personnel. Always ready to help and truly a great example of Balinese hospitality. We greatly appreciated the flexibility to get our breakfasts (or other meals) served on our own patio (without additional costs). The complimentary yoga sessions were great and well guided. Both pools were in good nick and clean. The larger pool offers quite a few loungers and a pool bar. The smaller pool is cooler and doesn't catch as much direct sun. My girlfriend suffered an unfortunate accident on the rice-terraces on our second to last day. The staff was incredibly supportive in helping us get down to our room, providing cooling packs, arranging healthcare services, and consistently lending a hand to help stabilize my girlfriend on crutches (once back from hospital) going up-and down the (various) stairs to get around the compound. The compound layout is done beautifully, allowing all guests to have good privacy and blocking out most sound from the relatively busy street the facility is located on. The rooms are really spacious, most offering both indoor and outdoor shower/bath facilities, and private outdoor patio space. Both ac and fan's are present in the rooms. They offer regular free transfers to/from Ubud. If you hire a scooter, it is only a 10minute ride to/from Ubud, by car it's a bit longer. The Tegallalang rice terraces are about 15 minutes away by scooter. Several warungs (local eateries) are within easy walking distance.

IndonesiaThe room had a connecting door to another room and there was a lol of noise. Breakfast had a great menu but the pastries were very dry. Not everything they said was in the room was there. Eg coffee maker was non-existence. There was a kettle with just instant coffee. Not quite the same.
The staff were excellent. The room.was very pretty. The gardens were really nice.

New ZealandHad to choose breakfast from set menu so we ended up having the same things for the duration of our stay.
As mentioned below the breakfast felt like the same every day as we were limited to what we could have from the set set menu. We don’t eat bacon or sausages which meant we had the same thing every morning. The grounds are really beautiful and really well maintained. The poolside was really nice and the staff are amazing.

Netherlands1. We were booked into a smaller room at first even though our reservation was for a larger room. We were moved into our correct room later in the evening after we returned. 2. There is major construction work going on next doors to the hotel and that is not going to stop anytime soon. The construction work begins sharp at 8 and unfottunately for us it was right behind our villa so it was impossible to sleep beyond 8 AM. If you are a light sleeper or prefer to sleep in late you shouldnt book this property. The property gave us complementary massage in the room to make up for this inconvenience but this should be mentioned on the property website because it kills the vibe of what is otherwise an amazing property 3. The breakfast was a tad bit too repetitive for 4 days. There should be a bit more variety especially since it is alacarte 4. Lighting in the room could be better, The room was a tad bit too dim especially since it has such high ceilings. 5. I dont know why, but they kept giving us 2 towels instead of 4 and we had to keep asking for extra towels each day. 6. The sink in the bathrom did not drain properly 3 days out of 4
1. We booked the private pool wooden villa and the villa was amazing. The private pool was really nice and the kids and us loved jumping into it late at night 2. The outdoor bathtub was absolutely amazing. The kids were in it all the time and the setting was perfect 3. The property has 2 pools in addition to our private pool. The main pool is nice to use during the day 4. The property was a 15 min drive from Ubud center so not far from the hustle and bustle of the center while still remaining far enough from the crazy traffic
