There were a lot of small fire lighters dotted around the room seemingly to help the smell however the room then smelt like petrol

Nothing really. The place satisfy my expectations

It's a very simple place if you wanna stay in Nusa Penida for a couple of days and the owner woman despite doesnt speak English, she's a very sweetheart and has her tiny shop just down the hostel.. Beside everything the place itself is in the main street you'll.cross once you'll arrive to Nusa Penida port from Bali so its a great location for those who just arrived and don't wanna walk that long or deal.with taxi transfers

Terrible experience. I arrived at the time for the check in and the place was closed, they don’t have a reception is only a store and the rooms ar upstair. So, when i arrived i had to wait under the rain … hopefully i found a friendly girl that she let me get her room. Was a scary situation for me. In the night, close to 9pm a guy was waiting to charge me the room.

The shower is pretty bad, the water just would come out burning hot, no way to regulate the temperature or whatsoever. Bathroom pretty mouldy and smelly. It can be quite noisy at night since it’s on the main street.

Great for a visit with friends, would not feel that comfortable alone: no lock on the bathroom, glass door in the bathroom. Not all powersockets worked, we had to ask for towels and toiletpaper

The toilet had a bad smell throughout and there was a loud machinery noise that began around 11pm until the next morning. We luckily had ear plugs.

There was no toilet paper and shower room is a bit rusty. They didn't clean the room while you were away for a day. But overall it's a good value for the price you pay.

The owner was very kind, we rented a good motorbike aswell! Overall we had a nice stay. Plus it's close to the jetty of Maruti so you just walk straight to the hostel in 3 minutes.

The only thing i dislike is that the water in the bathroom is small. I don't know if it's the case for everywhere caused by the island topology or something else.

You can request for early check-in, it's not guaranteed but even if you can't check-in you can leave your stuff in the "warung" on the first floor where the owner is. Check-out is also the same, as long as you pack your stuff already.

Me and my partner had an amazing service at L Degus Hostel. I was really sick and couldnt go out. The owner bought me pills and food. She was so helpfull and was checking on me the whole stay. Amazing and generous people. Would definatly come back here.
