Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Singapore-
Beautiful property with a garden and pool close to many beaches around the area. The cabin was cosy, clean and decorated in a balinese style. The staff Sita and Erna were amazing and very professional. Both of them were always happy and ready to assist us. Erna cooked us delicious meals everyday and tried to change it up a little bit every now and then based on our preferences. Sita organised jeep tours for us to have lobsters in a local restaurant as well as to Timang Beach. In addition, she and her husband drove us for an hour to the city centre to get some local souvenirs like Batik shirts and bakpia pastries. They also brought us to their go to spot for a local dinner. We had such a wonderful stay over the week and would love to come back again in future. Thank you very much Sita and Erna! 😍

FinlandThere was some problems with aircondition in some of the rooms. The room was as hot as it was outside. But the staff made everything to repair the situation. We got coolers in our rooms and they tried to fix the aircondition. Eventually they gave us new room where the aircondition was really good! After this, the place was perfect to stay :)
Light blue villa is amazing place. The staff there are really friendly and they are ready to do everything to make your stay perfect! breakfast was good and you got it when you needed it. Pool was clean. The villa area is really beautiful with lots of flowers, butterflies and beautifull decoration. Rooms are ok. There is hot water in the shower and the water pressure is great. Villas staff organized many trips (beatifull caves, jeepride and even trip to yogiakartas Bodobudur, Prambanam and Merapi, fruit market, souvenier shopping and even a local traditional dance night <3) for us and everything was really easy with them. Sita and Erna are amazing people <3 We felt really welcomed and alredy miss the place and the staff. Sitas english is really good so its really easy to get a long with her. And I love the humour <3 Many beaches near the villa that you can go in few minutes walking. Also many warungs on the seaside, but I recommend eating at the villa. They are excellent chefs and make many delicious local foods. Really good place to stay and even we stayed for a week, we felt that it was not enough ;) :D

Nice villas, nice swimming pool, good food, very affordable and good value for money. The owner went out of her way to help with visits to local caves, beaches and fish market. Also, convenient airport drop off.

AustriaThey always filled up our waterbottles in the kitchen, but it would be practical to have a water dispenser in an accessible area.
This was the highlight of our trip. Sita, the host, organized a lot of tours for us, to caves, beaches, we visited her family, went to a seeweed factory, etc. We even had an amazing cooking class. The fact that Sita is so fun to be around and knows so much about all different kinds of topics turns this villa into a truly unique experience. We felt like we got a glimpse into the indonesian way of life like we didn't get before, she treated us like friends who visited her homecountry. The Villa has a beautiful garden and a clean pool, so you always have an amazing place to relax when you come back from your trips. We stayed for 7 nights and would've stayed longer if we could, we couldn't decide between enjoying the villa and exploring the area! Also the rooms are clean and the food that Sita and Erna cook is delicious, they got all the usual things you want in a hotel covered as well. The breakfast is included and really good.

AustraliaThe only thing we thought could have been improved a little was ventilation in the bathrooms. They would get a bit hot and stuffy in the heat of the day.
We had the most incredible stay at Light Blue Villa and it was all because of Sita, the amazing manager who made our experience in Indrayanti very memorable and special. She was so generous with her time and we never ran out of things to do. She booked us into a jeep tour to visit Timang Beach where we ate fresh lobster and walked across the swinging wooden bridge. One day she took us to Pindul Caves for a float on the river and we got to meet her beautiful Grandmother and Aunties who invited us into their home for a cup of tea. We also visited a Hindu temple at a nearby beach in Gunung Kidul where Sita introduced us to a holy man who showed us around the temple and translated his stories for us about ancient Java, Hinduism and Islam. It was one of the standouts of our whole trip. Sita and Erna’s cooking was also the best we had while in Indonesia and they even ran a cooking class for us on our last night which was so informative and delicious. Relaxing by the pool after a day of activities was really lovely as well and the Bure style accommodation is a short walk from the beach. We also were very happy to see there was hot water after reading old reviews about there being only cold water in the rooms. We had a magical time with Sita and would highly recommend staying - especially for visitors looking for an authentic experience away from the city.

IndonesiaThere is a boarding school near the hotel which regularly make a praying in the afternoon. However, in Indonesia, such situation is very common. Regarding the facilities, increasing the lighting of the room might be better improvement.

The Staff were exceptional. I have never come across service like this before. Sita and her assistant Erna, did every thing they could to make us feel at home. Their cooking was delicious, lots of choices. They also gave us a cooking lesson. Sita made suggestions for things for us todo, arranged tours, then drove us to them. The swimming pool was a great asset we used every day. We were there for 4 days.

Very friendly, committed and helpful manager Sita. She arranges everything for you. You can eat all day long and she cooks so great. She even gets Bintang. It’s a little paradise here with a lovely swimming pool and a beautiful garden. The wooden small bungalows are well furnished, clean sheets, watercooker, refrigerator, WIFI, AC, lockable robe, reasonable mattress, a good shower but not very warm. You can ask for a hot shower. And there is a small seat for the bungalow. There is a Moslim school nearby. With prayer but quite short and worked for me as meditation. Sita and her staff really take good care of you. You also can do excursions. By the sea to the right are the most beautiful beaches (10-15 minute walk). Pantai Sadranan, Krakal and Slili (the latter have a very modern restaurant). Indryantibeach is 5 minutes. We definitely will come back. Maria, Utrecht, The Netherlands

United KingdomThere appeared to be a problem with ants which Sita dealt with quickly but was difficult to completely resolve. The Islamic school nearby is pretty noisy until 10pm.
The location was very close to the beach with lots of great places to visit for a day trip. The pool is the best we’d been to Indonesia and the host Sita is really friendly and super helpful. She arranged a jeep tour for us and generously drive us back to the city at the end of our stay. The accommodation is well designed and nicely furnished. The bathrooms have lovely natural fittings. Sita is a good cook and made delicious breakfasts.

BelgiumThere is quite some noise at night, not just from the Quran school across the street, but also from traffic.
This is a great place to stay for a few nights. Sita is absolutely wonderful. We've NEVER had a host that was so friendly, and so helpful. The service you get at Light Blue Villa is just second to none. Breakfast is wonderful, and so is the other food that is served. The beaches nearby are really beautiful. The pool is clean and pleasant. The rooms are not the cleanest, but they are cozy and comfy.
