Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

South AfricaThe beds were very creaky in the dorms. It would creak every time yo rolled over making it quite bothersome for yourself and other guests.
The dorm set up is very creative and the entire environment is relaxed and quiet. The staff are super helpful and the place is run like a hotel. The restaurants food and coffee was excellent and I found it to be an amazing spot to work in the dorms (they provide a big shared table with chairs) as well as the restaurant. I was very happy, rested and productive here. It was expensive for a dorm setup but I felt the place had such a positive effect on my psyche I was happy to pay knowing I had staff at my back to help me when I got stuck in the bathroom when the latch broke and when I had to extend

JapanThe dormitory building was not very well ventilated and had a fan running, but I was not sure if I could turn that off at bedtime. So it felt noisy... I would like to stay next time with my family and friends, as I felt that independent rooms were the best way to fully appreciate this facility.
The concept is great, and this is a wonderful facility to experience it! The staff are all very helpful and friendly. I also enjoyed the store that is located there.

IndonesiaThe only things I could comment on would be needing an extra pillow in bed, and the shower was extremely hot and cold intermittently, but it didn’t affect my stay. It would have been really lovely to have a morning meditation or gentle yoga class on offer to make the most of the Shala in such beautiful grounds, otherwise, everything was perfect.
This place felt like a magical oasis, a hidden gem, with gorgeous grounds, small peaceful gardens, a beautiful meditation shala and an amazing restaurant. The music was chilled out with a nice flow, easy to work with or drift away and relax to. The coffee was the best I’ve ever tasted, I was excited to start the day with this every day. Wonderful staff and such a pleasant surprise to meet many wonderful women in the female dorm.

JapanA little far from the central area, which was totally alright for me as it was in a peaceful, quiet neighborhood :)
Ethical and sustainable philosophy, lovely villas, lots of delicious vegan options, children’s playground, helpful staff members, peaceful neighborhood, beautiful view of sunrise in a rice field just within a few mins walk!

JapanEverything was perfect, the best place to stay vacation ever for me. Although the room doesn't have dryer and air conditioner, our room was comfortable enough to spend the whole day. They showed me around, explained a lot about their trying to be earthfriendly. i hope to come back this place and stay more days next time.

Beautiful small luxury Hotel, extraordinary kitchen, extremely friendly and open staff. The Hotel really lives the highest Eco standard, with special Materials, a permaculture garden, recyceling water system. Ther was no need for an airconditioner due to the intelligent way of building. Located in the paddyfiels, which gives you the possibility for an early morning walk.

NetherlandsEverything is sustainable (water is collected from the rain and treated accordingly, energy is from solar panels) , the restaurant works with locally sourced food and sells only seafood from sustainable fishing. It is a really nice hotel and an ideology I very gladly support

United Arab EmiratesI just wish the staff more friendly and welcoming towards the children, i feel they "disturb" with my kids playing around the lobby / restaurant. I think this kind of hotel should be more understanding towards kids. Mosquito is the big problem in this kind of concept. I have to ask electric Mosquito net because spray didnt work.. my child has so many Mosquitos bites all over her. It will be a great idea to provide the electric Mosquito repellent in the room permanetly.
I really love the concept "eco friendly hotel" very inspiring, feom solar power, to use rain and treated the raindrops to be drinkable, earath bag mud wall but you wont noticed it, conscious recycling etc. Welldone to the owner. The garden is so green and beaitiful, i never see so many butterflies in my life :)) The food is divine in the restaurant, breakfast also amazing 👏

AustraliaAlthough I understand the concept behind no air conditioning, it just doesn’t work. The rooms were so hot and my whole family didn’t sleep both nights we were there. We also found the staff not attentive and not wet friend in the restaurant. Each day we had to ask to order our food and wait for long periods of time. We were the only ones in there one morning while four staff were standing around one juicer. We again had to go up and ask to order.
Great concept and beautiful buildings. I also enjoyed the food at the restaurant.
