My husband and I stayed in the upstairs deluxe double room. As soon as we were shown our room I thought “perfect”. We loved our stay here - spacious, good air conditioner, very comfy bed, lovely bathroom with quirky shower and hot water, balcony with treetops view, fridge, kettle, breakfast brought to room, 5 min walk to beach, and lovely people. The stairs were easy. Truly great value for money. We will definitely be staying here again.

A very clever young owner Chocolate can be proud of his Mango tree inn project. We appreciated the ubiquitous natural materials with which the houses are carefully built and equipped. But the best thing is Mr. Chocolate´s willingness to arrange everything. We took advantage of the tours offered by Mango tree Inn and enjoyed the combination of a normal village with holiday homes. We really liked that.

Perfect location, very nice staff and ready to accommodate you. Nicely decorated and very clean. AC worked perfectly. Book of activity in the room where you can easily pick something to do. Loved the cute breaks fast board to choose from Loved the exterior shower!

We couldn't enjoy the mangos for the garden as they were not rip yet, but it was all amazing !

Everything was good ! The room was simple but nice, breakfast was good, everything was clean, the personnal was really nice (they arranged our impromtu very late arrival due to flight issues, and improvised unplanned breakfast the first day). Airconditionning was definitely appriciated. They have a book in the room with excursions they can arrange for you (including trip to national park), we had already aranged ours so we didn't try it, but from what we've seen, the prices seemed reasonnable.

Great location near the beach. Lovely staff & owner. Handy being able to use a communal fridge. Delicious breakfast with mango jam! Decent WiFi. Loved the outdoor shower.

Beautiful garden, flowers, arrangement, close to the beach and superbly helpful staff. Nice to have laundry service and snorkel gear rental right there, as well as organisation of a snorkeling trip and drivers. We will remember this place fondly.

It is a shame that there is not direct access to the beach without having to walk up to the main road and then back down the next street.

A little noisy from barking dogs in the morning. To complete breakfast preference the small chalkboard wasn't provided in time for me to complete by 3pm. Advised staff that I would have same preference each morning but they misunderstood. Missed out on my last morning for breakfast. Can hear neighbours from bathroom

Had a great view, kettle and fridge in the room. Outdoor shower was lovely. Breakfast met my needs.

Besides laying a towel on the lawn, the hotel is not really conducive to chilling out - a few sunbeds or garden loungers would have made a massive difference to my stay. TBH, if i return to Permuteran I will pay a bit more to be at one of the beach front hotels in Permuteran, which is to me a very special place. My favourite memory of my 2 week holiday is the day of the snorkel which ended with a meal at Robot Bar (which I highly recommend). But worth repeating - Mango tree is very good value and the service is excellent and very friendly.

The place itself is good and good value for money. The staff and Chocolate are very friendly and helpful, and the service is good. They organised a good snorkel trip for us. The rooms are comfortable and clean. Its a short walk to the beach.

The owner of the accommodation is really cool and helpful. As is his whole team. My room was very clean and nicely furnished, the private outdoor bathroom is an absolute highlight! All in all, you feel very comfortable there😊

The place is lovely! I love the room, the ambiance, and their bathroom is unique and amazing! I never had that kind of bathroom in any of the hotels I’ve been into. I feel like every bit of details in their room has been well thought of. I also love the idea that they don’t have television. It makes the place more solemn and relaxing. the owner and all of the staff are really accommodating. Breakfast was also great. I just so love love love this place!

Location is excellent, close to the beach and restaurants. The staff looked after all our needs, thanks Kala. Beautiful garden setting, shady under mango trees. Quiet, comfortable beds and very clean.
