Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustriaA truly wonderful stay! The room was spacious and comfortable, and the pool was perfect for pure relaxation. Despite the central location, it was incredibly peaceful. The staff went above and beyond with their kindness and helpfulness, making me feel so welcome. I can wholeheartedly recommend this accommodation!

AustraliaThe main issue was the ac wasn't very cold, it only made a few degrees difference but I managed to make it work with the ceiling fan and cooling off in the pool. Some days there was burning close by which wasn't pleasant when outside breathing in the plastic smelling smoke.
Great location on a quiet lane only minutes walk to many restaurants and shops and to the main palace area. The photos were accurate, my room was comfortable & clean, wifi excellent, and quite private with only 3 other rooms in my section. The pool was great too. The manager was friendly and helpful, the only surprise was needing to pay cash only on check in which I haven't experienced elsewhere in Ubud.

LatviaOur bedsheets had some stains but they were properly cleaned so just from use of multiple guests over time. The rooms are quite basic, but that also is represented by the price. Definitely good enough for a couple of nights stay.
We really enjoyed the breakfast that was provided. You get a true jungle feel, especially if your room overlooks the pool. It was also very quiet, giving us a private feel to the property. Close to a lot of places in Ubud centre so the location wasn't bad at all.

Such a wonderful place to stay! We originally booked 2 nights and decided to extend for a week because we enjoyed it so much. The owner and all staff were very warm, friendly and kind and easily contactable. The location is great walking proximity to warungs, shops and the yoga barn. The accommodation was pleasantly simple and very comfortable, and the absolute highlight was the seven gorgeous puppies coming to visit each morning. Highly recommend!

United KingdomBeware that if you're arriving at the property at night, the alley that leads there is very dark and there are lots of barking dogs. Our taxi driver couldn't figure out how to get down this road by car, so we had to walk the last 300m or so, not a problem for us but something to consider if you have lots of heavy luggage. Wifi was a bit patchy.
Slightly tucked away from the main road so there was no problem with noise at night. The room was basic but nice enough. The staff were friendly and the breakfast was tasty.

Slovakia1. Not really clean pool and some arrogant Ruzzians which do not know difference between private pool and shared pool. Unfortunately, during our whole stay in Bali we heard multiple complains on these nationals from both locals and tourists. I wrongly thought that at least in Bali will have peace from these trouble makers 2. Not stable internet 3. Only one electric plug
1. Peaceful and quite location 2. Breakfast 3. Room sizes

AustraliaThe room was very basic and the photo’s certainly did not show that. Nothing was supplied - no hand soap or shower wash. The bathroom and toilet were open to the bedroom, so not much privacy. I think it should’ve stated that people should bring such things. Sheets and pillowcases clean, but very stains. It felt a bit awful the first night , not knowing if we were going to get bedbugs or something. We didn’t, thankfully, and I will now travel with a sheet set for my own satisfaction. Towels were the same. I know it wasn’t expensive but even so. I would certainly recommend the place but I would warn that it is 2 star at best. Probably better suited for one or two nights rather than the week, like we did. Also, we were fortunate enough to have a fridge but most rooms didn’t have one and I think these days people probably expect one. There were no drinking glasses or water provided. Again, something that most places would provide. If it isn’t provided, say so in the description so that people can bring the things they require.
The breakfast was excellent. Staff super friendly and helpful. Location pretty good and it was certainly very quiet and peaceful. Comfortable bed; mosquito net provided and you certainly need it in that environment. Good selection of eateries to try.
