Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomIt is a little out the centre but this was maybe more of a positive away from the busy places of Canguu
Loved the space at this place. The yoga room and comfy chairs. The pools were nice and the outside pullup bar and Kettlebells where an add bonus

IrelandThe pool was a luke warm temperature and during the hot days we wished it was cooler. In the treehouse there was no fridge and bathroom was down the stairs which was difficult during the night time.
A beautiful retreat hostel away from the hustle and bustle of Canggu, the hostel offered a free activity every day plus yoga every morning which was fairly priced. There was a lovely restaurant on site and great communal areas to socialise. We stayed in the treehouse and it was so beautiful.

AustraliaRoom was small, no fridge, no mosquito net and no breakfast included. I paid a decent amount of money for a private joglo which wasn’t cleaned daily. Apparently I had to ask, but I’ve paid less in Bali and had daily cleaning without having to ask. Geckos pooping on my bed (thankfully at the foot end). Bathroom was downstairs (which I knew), but the stairs were really steep, so navigating them half asleep for the toilet in the middle of the night wasn’t ideal. It was very mouldy and fungus growing from the bathroom cabinet, and trails of ants at different times of the day. I thought daily yoga classes were free for guests, so got a surprise when they were 120k when I paid my bill. Location is limiting if you don’t ride a scooter, there’s no nearby minimart in walking distance, so reliant on their food or Grab/Gojek.
The vibe at Nunu is great! I met great connections there with other guests, who I’ve continued travelling with. They have activities every day to participate in. Nice to have the option of two pools, although only used one. Lots of common areas, insect repellent provided, beautiful gardens and the staff were all really friendly. It had a nice family atmosphere. Being able to photograph birds from my two balconies in the morning (treehouse style room). Also, lots of animal friends on the property, cat, chicken, turtles, occasional dog from owner. Food from the kitchen was all delicious, I really liked the protein bowl and açai bowls. Nice to be in a small village next to the rice patties and out of the Canggu crazy.

FranceThe best hostel, for people looking for healthier and chiller vibes than the Canguu central craziness that it can be. This place is about 20 minutes out. But it’s perfect and very peaceful. Great to meet fellow travellers that are health conscious, if not than a place like this will help you! Would highly recommend it to anyone to spend a few days here. Staff are very sweet and helpful. Laundry service, good food all day, two pools, ice bath, workshops, yoga shala , outdoor gym, nice travellers… this isn’t a party hostel but little piece of paradise in between the rice fields perfect to be healthy.

The place creates community spirit. Everyday there is an activity that allows to meet other guests. Although the place is far away from the beach, it is very self-efficient. We’ve spent 5 days, not leaving the place - eating delicious food, practicing yoga, having massages and just enjoying „village vibe” of the place.

Where can I even start! The retreat is stunning. You are so close to nature. The staff are extremely kind and caring and always smiling! The staff are always singing or playing musical instruments and laughing with one another, they really enjoy their work and it shows! I can't thank them enough for making my Stay so memorable and amazing! The free activities introducing you to balinese culture were a highlight and The food! Yum! The entire place is kept so clean! The common areas and rooms are kept to a very high standard. The yoga twice a day in the shala with a running stream going past it with a few of the rice fields is magical. If you're thinking about booking this place, do it!!! The value for money is insane. This was the best place I've stayed in bali! Honestly, I can't wait to go back. If you're looking for a peaceful, tranquil hideaway to connect to yourself and like-minded people, this is the place to be! I stayed 13 days and felt like a new person. I stayed in the tree house, the female dorm, and another private jogolo during my stay, and all 3 were incredible. The dorms have an outside bathroom, and the beds are extremely comfortable! My favourite was the tree house as you get to have your morning coffee looking over the rice fields surrounded by butterflies, dragon flies, and birds. This place is a real hidden gem, and the value for money, it won't stay that way for long!

NetherlandsFirst few nights there wasn’t much of a social vibe, which I think is not their fault.
Very beautiful, spacious property, with two refreshing pools and a couple of cabins, some dorms, some privates. I stayed in two of the privates, which were very comfortable. One shower was very much better than the other but both were sufficient. They organize some activities you can join and there’s two yoga classes daily. Kitchen serves some basic food, which was enough for me. Staff is great and will help you out with everything you need!

PhilippinesNothing in particular, but I noticed that the toilet in the mixed dorm could use some improvement in terms of cleanliness. It could benefit from a thorough scrubbing of the crevices and surfaces.
I like the location, it’s situated in the middle of rice fields and lots of trees. 15mins away from the busy streets of Canggu. The whole property was well maintained, the bed was so comfy, the staff were so nice and friendly. I also like that they have free activities everyday and the amenities were great like the ice bath, pools, and some gym equipments. It’s also perfect and safe for solo travelers. The meals were tasty and affordable.

Wow where to even start…! This place is heavenly and for the price I was just blown away, Nunu far exceeded my expectations and filled my heart with so much love, just feel your nervous system start to regulate and relax. The staff are absolutely amazing & kind and have beautiful smiles and infectious laughs. There is a free activity everyday to help you learn more about Balinese culture as well as some to help to relax you more and get to know everyone else staying 🙏 the pools are amazing, ice bath, gym, massage/self care area, daily yoga ( not free) menu is huge ! Rent scooters, can organise anything for you if needed. I was meant to be there for 4 days and stayed a week - this is by far the best place in Bali if you want to relax and also see the real Bali outside of the tourist places - I will be back 🌸✨🤍

United KingdomI wish I had booked more than one night!
This place is amazing! Set away from the busy part of Bali, it is amongst the rice paddies in a small village, so perfect if you want some peace and quiet and to get into nature. I was nervous about travelling on my own, but the staff organised a campfire on the first night and a walk to a waterfall in the morning, so it was easy to meet people. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was very clean and comfortable, I had a private bungalow with a four poster bed. There are two swimming pools, sunbeds, an ice bath, yoga sessions, they sell food and drink, they organise activities every day, plus there are friendly cats. The vibe there is super chill and friendly. I will definitely book this place when I next return to Bali.

United KingdomI loved everything about this place. It was my first stop in bali and I was looking for a quiet, chilled atmosphere and NuNu really delivered it. The staff are so kind, dorms are clean, comfortable and you have plenty of space. They provide a free activity every day and 2 yoga classes per day also by a variety of instructors. I was also greeted at the airport by my driver from Nunu who, even though it was a late arrival time, went out of his way to make me feel relaxed and welcomed. ItalyThe distance from Canggu (30 minutes is not a lot of time) is the price to pay to avoid the caos of Bali streets, so I have no complains about it!
From the moment you step in you feel relaxed. Sorrounded by rice fields and nature, great staff and good food. Every day they offer a free activity to learn about balinese traditions or just share some time with the other guests. This is the right place if you want to spend time taking care of yourself and getting in contact with balinese culture.
