Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SingaporeWhile we loved the space and the view, the place could use some maintenance. We understand that maintaining a beachfront property is tough due to constant exposure to salt, moisture, and storms that accelerate wear and tear on everything from paint to plumbing, which I assume has caused things like mould and rust that we saw in toilet, as well as on the floating buoy. The doors, in particular, were a daily struggle — they didn’t close or open easily, which was a bit frustrating. At the same time, the entire unit had quite a lingering stale smell (the auto air-fresheners were empty) and stains on the sofa (could be fixed with regular deep cleaning). Some other small gripes were that bars were not open (you could get a drink from their restaurant downstairs to bring it up there though), their 'Kindness Store' was perpetually closed, and the Wi-Fi was quite spotty as well. The staff were friendly and clearly trying their best, but it was also evident that they lacked proper training. With a bit more guidance and support, their genuine hospitality could really shine.
The spacious layout gave us plenty of room to relax, and the peaceful surroundings made it easy to unwind. The highlight was definitely the stunning sea view, which we could enjoy from morning to night. The staff were genuinely friendly and welcoming, which added a warm and personal touch to our stay. Their kindness really stood out and made us feel at home. The food was good, and the breakfast buffet was continuously replenished, which I greatly appreciate.

SingaporeThe western food from their room service. I order a fettuccine with beef bacon. Once I received the food, it tasted bland and there was no beef bacon in the dish
I like the service and the room. Our room faces the ocean and we had a private pool. It was an awesome healing session with my wife. It is a perfect place to decompress after a hard day's work.

SingaporeAlso because it is not within the Bintan resorts area, this resort is quite out of the way from other places as it takes 1h+ to travel via car from the ferry terminal to the resort as well as from the resort to the different places where activities like ATV and mangrove/fireflies tours are held. The food at the restaurant for lunch and dinner was satisfactory so be sure to explore other food places outside the resort.
We enjoyed our stay as the staff were very welcoming and friendly. They never failed to have smiles on their faces and they were quick to attend to any enquiries. My friend and I attended a karaoke session on the rooftop and the staff cheered along which showed how they are always pleasant and are good sport! The massage services were also relaxing and they were patiently waiting for us even though we arrived back to our villa 30 minutes late, emphasising the staff's great service. The villa is comfortable and clean and there is a bathtub, private pool, and automatic toilet with bidet which was great. The bedroom and bathroom is spacious. The free breakfast provided good options too. It was very peaceful because the villa is not within the Bintan resorts area. We explored the beach nearby during low and high tides and encountered little crabs and fishes. The beach was not crowded which added to the serenity of the place.

SingaporeBathroom drainage was smelly. Resort is very secluded. Away from city. But 10 mins walk from the beach.
It is a good place to chill with your family. Food from.the hotel can be delivered to your room or you can eat at the hotel restaurant. There's a small pool in the room for you to have a soak.

SingaporeSome parts were decently clean, but others were as the reviews mentioned- can be dirty; like the items outside of the accoms. Float was left outside and collecting rainwater. Pool water is not constantly running, hence not cleaning the surface dirt/insects/ etc. woke up to see that there was a cleaner tried to clean the pool on the second day.
Great facilities and options available for you to do stuff. However quite ulu (pro & con). If you like to be away from everything, can explore this idea. However closest attraction is the snorkelling. If not, everything else is super far away.

SingaporeThe resort is aesthetically beautiful but cleanliness can be improved. Bath robes are worn out and smell musky. Window ledges are dusty and floor is quite dusty ( I worn my room slippers everywhere in the room) bath tub, I need to wash thoroughly before using. There’s a stain at the bathroom wall. That is so bothering, I almost ended up cleaning it, only the fact it is our vacation stay and not my home, stopped me from wiping it off. If you can make the resort thoroughly clean, i bet it is going to be as on par to other luxury resorts
All the staffs make our stay an exceptional one. Their good service makes up for the resort shortcomings. Special mention to Geri and Taufik

Faroe IslandsAlthough our recent stay at One of A Kind was quite enjoyable, there are a few areas where I believe the experience could be enhanced. First, while the resort itself is beautiful, we noticed that the maintenance of the facilities could be improved. Some areas, such as the poolside shower facilities and certain parts of the cabins, showed signs of wear and tear. A little more attention to upkeep would go a long way in preserving the resort's overall charm and comfort. As for dining, the restaurant offered a pleasant atmosphere, but the culinary experience was somewhat underwhelming. The menu lacked the flair and creativity I had hoped for, and while the meals were decent, they didn’t stand out as a highlight of the stay. That said, the locally sourced fish was exceptional and definitely worth trying. It was fresh, flavorful, and a true taste of the region. I would love to see the restaurant build more on this strength, perhaps by incorporating more local ingredients and unique dishes that reflect the local cuisine. If you are there on a Saturday evening, I can warmly recommend the barbecue event. It was a great experience :) Despite these areas for improvement, I still had a relaxing and enjoyable time at One of A Kind. The resort’s peaceful setting and friendly staff made for a pleasant escape, and with a few adjustments, it could easily become an even more delightful destination.
We recently stayed at One of a Kind, and it was exactly what we needed for a peaceful getaway. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by incredibly welcoming and friendly staff. Their service-minded approach was evident throughout our stay, making every moment feel special and well-cared-for. The resort is an ideal spot for total relaxation. The atmosphere was serene, with a stunning view of the sea from the pool area. Whether lounging by the pool or sipping a drink as the sun set, the picturesque surroundings made it easy to unwind and forget about the stresses of daily life. What added to the charm was the warmth of the local people. Everywhere we went, we were met with smiles and a genuine sense of hospitality that made us feel right at home. One thing to note is that the activities in the surrounding area are quite limited. If you’re looking for a vacation filled with excursions and adventure, this may not be the place for you. However, if your goal is to escape and immerse yourself in tranquility, One of A Kind is perfect. Overall, One of a Kind offered a rejuvenating experience with its beautiful views, exceptional service, and an ambiance that encourages total relaxation. If you’re seeking a peaceful retreat, this is the place to be.

SingaporeThe Villa Aqua was a unique experience, love the view of the sea, sunrise. Had a lot of fun in the dipping pool. Love that they provided paddle board that we managed to try out. Celebrated birthday there, Intan from the front desk made sure everything went smoothly. Do try out the BBQ set where you can have at the villa rooftop..worth the money. Only suggestion hope the breakfast menu would have more variety and when we stayed there was an event on going so we did not managed to dine at Azura.
