Everything was fine.

Location of breakfast was outside, food options were great, fresh & good variety, staff went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed for the duration of our stay. Meals at night were great & very good value.

Nice private pool with view to the jungle, staff is great, for breakfast they have a menu where you can choose only one but it’s tasty, good curtains if you don’t like the sun in the morning :)

Every day, you can choose from delicious breakfast options + fresh juices and fruits. The bungalows are beautifully designed, offering both comfort and a perfect atmosphere for relaxation. Of all the accommodations I have stayed at in my life, Portobello's service is the best I have experienced. All the staff are so friendly and really care about making your trip a pleasant one. They communicate to you via WhatsApp which makes things so easy. You can ask if you have any questions or require any additional services. If you have ever wanted to stay in a tree house, looking at nature, this is the place to stay. We saw some many Finches, Kingfishers, varieties of butterflies, a Komodo Dragon and even squirrels climbing up the trees. You really do get to live amongst nature so be prepared with some Bushman's (insect repellent), we loved it. The mosquitos in the room weren't a massive deal if you keep the bathroom door closed and use the net on the bed to sleep. The pool was lovely and an oasis after seeing the sights. The breakfast was thoughtfully prepared and was really nice to try Indonesian cuisine. It's not a buffet but I liked that there wasn't as much wastage and you choose the meal you want everyday. You can choose from a variety of fresh juices, tea/coffee, fruit platter/parfait and 1 main meal (nasi goreng, pancakes etc - mix of western and Indonesian).They also have dinner and room service if needed, and you can order Grab meals to the accommodation if needed too. I'm glad we didn't stay anywhere else. For the price I can't imagine you'd find a better place for a nature-filled experience and incredible service.

Whilst breakfast was always delicious and well prepared, both my husband and I were not big fans of the juice at breakfast, however this comes down to personal preference. Unfortunately during our stay we experienced some very heavy rain (which was lovely to hear on the roof of our cabin and made for a very peaceful sleep), however it did cause a leak via our air con. The staff were quick to deal with this and had a maintenance person look into it.

Ahead of our stay we arranged an airport collection via the accommodation. We were met at the airport by Imade (following our delayed flight) who was very welcoming and ensured we were comfortable for our journey. Upon arrival, the team at Portobello had stayed after hours to greet us and take us to our villa. The villa was beautifully made, comfortable and private. Communication from the staff was impeccable throughout our stay. The room was always clean and we felt right at home. We loved having our own private pool and enjoyed the quiet of the area in Ubud. Imade was a pleasure to deal with from start to finish, he went above and beyond with our taxi journeys, even taking us via the Courts of Justice on our way to Padang Bai and talked through the history of Bali with us. He truly is a credit to Portobello Villa.

Got a scratch on my knee from surfing, left a little stain on the bedsheet. Had to pay 800k for the new one because i was told, they can’t use it again, because the stain was a little visible after the cleaning. That would be ok, but their bed sheets had lots of small stains left after previous cleaning.
