Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

New ZealandThere was nothing we disliked. Our only regret is that we weren't able to stay longer!
From the minute we booked to the minute we checked out the service was impeccable. They helped organise transfers to and from the airport with a local driver who was friendly and safe. We also organised laundry service through them which was completed quickly and with no issues at a great price. They can assist with booking many services, such as motor cycle hire and tours, even organising a massuse to come to your room - we didn't end up doing this but it's something we will look to do in the future. The room was clean and as advertised, with air con that kept us at a temperature we Scots are more used to! The location is perfectly situated for plenty of sightseeing within walking distance, and close to the main street with plenty of restaurants and bars while still being very quiet. The staff are kind and very friendly, we felt right at home here! The breakfast is simple but tasty with a good selection of choices and delicious fresh fruit included with all choices. The pool is clean and open great hours. We also enjoyed the sun loungers available. The garden/grounds are beautiful. There are a couple of tasty warungs not 2 minutes around the corner that offer delicious food at a great cost. The location really is unbeatable! For the price you pay, Surawan Bisma Ubud is unbeatable in value and there is no doubt in my opinion that you will have a great stay. It truly felt like a hidden oasis. We would definitely return and would recommend Surawan Bisma Ubud to anyone who wants to stay in the centre of Ubud but also looking for tranquility and comfort in a beautiful setting. I do wish we took some photos but we were too busy enjoying ourselves! Thank you again for the perfect stay. We will hopefully be back again.

BulgariaThe only issue that came up was that the AC was dripping and my friend's bed was all wet. I am sure that they would've fixed it though.
The staff were amazing, helped us for a boat booking and were available at all times, always smiling and ready to help, they even kept my luggage safe while I went for couple of days to Gili islands. The room was spacious and and the beds were comfortable as well. It was very close to the central part, and the breakfast was delicious.

United KingdomBreakfast is a little basic, but Ubud has so many options if you want something fancier.
Lovely quiet location behind the rice fields. Super friendly staff. There are 3 sets of rooms. Room 9 was the mid-priced option. Big room, big bed, big bathroom. Fantastic views. No kettle, fridge or TV. I was very comfortable, but if you want a bit more modern decor, go for the top-priced rooms. Pool and other areas are really nice.

United KingdomThere was a large group of inconsiderate and noisy guests that stayed here at the same time for a couple of days of my stay - being loud and obnoxious into the early hours of the morning - some 'guest rules' need to be put in place - quiet times from 10pm til 7am or something similar. As I had to go down at 2 and 3am to tell them to be quiet and more considerate of the other guests. Other than this I had a perfect two week stay here.
The staff here are the most friendly bunch and will do absolutely anything to help you out. The breakfast is good, with several different options to choose from. The pool is nice with loungers to relax on. Its in a nice quiet location and about a 10 min walk to the main streets of Ubud.

Traditional & friendly. Had to walk alongside rice fields to get to it which added to the charm. If planning to come, choose the premium rooms rather than basic, much nicer! Breakfast delicious!

GermanyI believe the rooms can have a better ventilation system as some can get very humid.
Love the environment of the place and the garden with the pool, is very refreshing and very close to a variety of restaurants and bars - in a walking distance. The best place I have eaten is just 5 mins walk and you can feel you are away from the chaos of the centre of Ubud. Note that you can only access the hotel walking thus forget to bring heavy or big bags. Breakfast is good and included, simple but everything you need to start the morning.
