I was referred to this place by a friend. From the moment you walk in, you are treated like royalty. I can’t thank everyone enough for such a beautiful experience. Food is amazing in all their restaurants and everyone is very attentive to your needs throughout the hotel. Very professional! Loved my room and how comfortable the bed and pillows were. Slightly expensive compared to similar properties but worth the money.

Great luxury property. We stayed in the private pool villa which had a small pond in the room along with a nice private pool. Bathroom's were huge and gave a luxury feel. The resort is huge and green and they use buggy's for internal transit. Staff is courteous and helpful. I'd come here again

The 2 room/2 bath villa was very cozy, clean, private with good wifi and great creature comforts. Our 5 days stay at Desa Visesa was exceptional. The whole property was well maintained, tranquil with naturally beautiful views of paddy fields and away from the chaos of town, which is just 10 minutes away, with daily free shuttle services to Ubud Palace / town centre. The staff are courteous and always ready to assist. We tried their spa services which was very relaxing and good. The picnic basket by the paddy field was out of this world! My appreciation goes out to Swan at reception who received us on arrival, also to Made and Nuri from reception who attended to all our needs during our stay. Also to Chef Dewa of Lesung (in-house restaurant) and his team; Dek Meh (Madek), Agung, Wayan, Bagus, Nyoman, Dewa and Luh for the wonderful creative Balinese cuisine, cocktails and their always attentive and friendly service. Well done to the Management Team of Desa Visesa for providing a very good service team to make our stay a memorable one!

The food and drink is a little on the expensive side, same with the spa treatments. Our tip would be to use the free shuttle and find a local taxi driver with the shuttle for the evenings etc. The hotel charges almost triple the price of a local taxi, which you can easily find in the centre of Ubud.

The resort, rooms and staff are exceptional. We really loved our stay here. The hotel is in very beautiful grounds and only a short 10 minute drive to the centre of Ubud. The staff are all so welcoming and friendly, hardworking cannot do enough to help you. The pool and restaurant area are very nice to relax around. We got the impression some parts were closed due to the impact of the pandemic. The staff are always cleaning and maintaining the grounds.

The room smells not good like a room that has not been opened for long time, especially in terrace. Wifi is not stable, need to be turn on and off several times. Bathtup can not be used since bathtub drain can not be closed properly

The place is in the center of Ubud. Breakfast taste good, but the option is limited. The hospitality is very excellent. The scenery in hotel area is beautiful and calming.

Staff were excellent and also the place itself. Loved the pool. Very relaxing, thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Grounds are quite pretty and staff went above and beyond to help me as I am in a wheelchair. They even built a ramp for day 2.

Booked 2 rooms villa for family but it was not inter connected.. Breakfast was not good ..not much options ..also milk for corn flakes was spoiled .. Reception Staff was not very welcoming..

Our villa did not live up to the photos. Most particularly the jacuzzi that we were so looking forward to. In the photos it looked beautiful, a round sunken jacuzzi surrounded by dark decking with a stepped seating setting. In reality it was just a jacuzzi bath behind a concrete pillar. The room is a little tired looking and sometimes inconvenient such as bedside lamps that have no switches and have to be unplugged. Also I had booked spa services well in advance but I had to chase for confirmation.

On arrival we were blown away. It is quite breathtaking and you really feel like you’ve arrived at a palace! The grounds are lush and immaculate. The pool is exquisite and huge! The lunch at Lesung was delicious. The staff are very friendly indeed. Had a fabulous facial and pedicure which I can highly recommend.

Bad WiFi, musty smell, shower and toilet weren’t as clean as I’d liked, staff was very slow with responding, ant nest in my room, lots of bees and flies on the food at the buffet, beanbags at property weren’t clean. Check in was nice as they helped you with you suitcases but no help was provided when checking out.
