Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaThe spa room could be updated and some ambiance added but massages were great.
This tucked away family owned resort is a hidden gem! The bungalows are gorgeous adding that authentic Balinese touch. The beds are super comfortable, and air conditioned and had the best shower! The breakfast was insane and the food incredible! I loved the friendly staff, they went above and beyond to accomodate our group. So relaxing away from the hustle and bustle. And that pool! Sensational!

PolandIt’s quite far from Ubud town but if you ride a scooter like us it’s not a problem. Restaurant had very expensive juices, comparing to resturants even in Ubud center.
I liked views from hotel and how quiet it was, they were serving the best ans biggest breakfast we had on Bali! Room was very clean and always free of insects.

New ZealandIf I had to mention one thing, the lighting in the room was a bit on the dim side for me—but that might just be part of the resort’s cozy vibe. Just a personal preference!
We had such a lovely stay here! The staff were super friendly and went out of their way to make our trip special. It was my daughter’s birthday, and we were so surprised to find the bed decorated for her—and later that evening, they even brought us a birthday cake during dinner! Totally unexpected and so thoughtful. Thank you for making her day (and ours) so memorable!

Saudi ArabiaI wouldn’t recommend using the airport shuttle from the hotel, as the car was quite old. Grab is a much cheaper and more comfortable option for getting around. Additionally, there’s ongoing construction on the site, which made it hard to fully enjoy the pool and restaurant area due to the noise and disruption. The breakfast area is outdoors, but unfortunately, the fan wasn’t working, making it unbearably hot to eat there. While the concept of pre-ordering breakfast is great, there was quite a bit of confusion and a mix-up with our order, which impacted the overall experience.
We stayed at Rumah Kayu Resort for 2 nights and absolutely loved it. The facilities were amazing, offering everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The food was delicious, and the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, making us feel very welcome. The garden is beautiful and there is a lot of greenery. It was a truly enjoyable experience, and we’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and peaceful retreat.

SlovakiaIt’s just something to keep in mind when you plan your trip, it is a bit far from Ubud (which we knew) , but with crazy Ubud traffic it can take quite some time to get to the city. Monkey forest is 20 mins away, but Ubud palace will take you in traffic 30-40 mins. They have free shuttle couple of times per day and also it’s very easy to call grab taxi, so it’s not an issue just smth to keep in mind. This would definitely not stop me from coming again, because it was sooo sooo beautiful and comfortable, recommend it 100%
After 4 weeks in Bali best accommodation (and we also stayed in some more expensive resorts). Bungalows seems new, very comfortable bed , ac worked amazing, semi outdoor shower is just out of this world! Territory is like a jungle garden very beautiful, big clean pool with views on small river and palms trees. BREAKFAST IS THE BEST , so tasty and wide choice, such a beautiful presentation and you can have it at restaurant, your porch or floating at the pool free of charge. We had dinner there as well, food was tasty. Balinese massage was good as well.

CanadaNothing! It was perfect
Beautiful gem outside of busy Ubud. The gardens are so lush and gorgeous you feel like you're in the jungle. Delicious big breakfast. Nice pool with rice field view even though small it seemed enough for all the guests. Staff very friendly and attentive. Super comfy beds!! Very quiet area, just hear birds, chickens, dogs. Shuttle service was great and I took the offer by owners brother for personalized tour which was so worth it.

Waking up to the sounds of the jungle and enjoying a dip in the infinity pool overlooking the forest is pure magic. United KingdomIt was all amazing.
Everything was perfect. All of the staff were so kind and hospitable. The room was amazing and so clean! The location was great and so was the free shuttle. The breakfast was delicious and there was plenty of choice, they even gave us a breakfast box for our early flight. The pool was ideal to cool down in. I stay in big brand names often for work, and Rumah Kayu is 100x better than any of them! Would LOVE to return!

NetherlandsThere are small holes in the walls of the villa (for ventilation?) that allow insects to come into the room. Please be aware if you're afraid of running into small friends. Also, towels were quite old/used and did not have a nice feeling.
Nature around the resort, breakfast and people working there. Appreciated the shuttle bus to Ubud. The villa that we had facing the pool had an amazing view, we loved it!

CanadaIt’s a bit far from the Ubud city centre but the free shuttle made it easier to get there.
It felt like we lived in paradise. Amazing staff, very good breakfast and a really good vegan menu. The hospitality of the staff, housekeeping and the cabin’s design made it such a unique experience and stay. Wish we could have stayed longer.

AustraliaGiven that this is a kinda cottage in the middle of a jungle, it is expected to see creepy things as I saw a gecko inside. But the Hotel team were quite helpful to get rid of it. So this is part of the nature of such a property and there is no complain. However, there is no sealing between the door and the walls and insects or lizards can easily come in. So I believe this should be improved. Also, the restaurant food is quite average.
The whole area was amazing The room was quite nice You feel like you are in the middle of a jungle The amount of vegetation is so dense which makes it quite unique. It is great for relaxation and I’ll visit there again.
