I missed a sink inside the room/toilet and there was not much space for luggage in the room, maybe a shelf could help. Diner options are limited, especially if you are vegetarian. I still loved my stay though ;)

Such a great place to stay. Simple dorm, but you are basically part of the (really friendly) family. There is a kitchen you can use and some seating outside. Toilet and shower right in the room and a really good explanation on how to use the shower :D The breakfast included was one of the best I had in Indonesia...

-the area is quiet but not far from the center of ruteng -the room was clean -the bed was comfortable -the shower and toilet are in two seperate rooms -the hot shower worked well and the water pressure is good -the staff is very friendly and helped the guests with informations about the area or bike rentals

There was no sink in the rooms.

Only stayed for one night and arrived late but the staff were really nice, the breakfast was good and early which was perfect for us as we were heading off early. The beds were comfy and had proper duvets.

Our stay was lovely! The room was quite big, the bed was very comfortable , all the rooms have bathroom and a big shower with hot water too! The breakfast was very tasty, the family is kind and helpful, they will give you information and advice about Flores, water , tea and coffee anytime! Also wifi works very well! We’ll definitely come back!

I don’t suggest the tour with motorbike with « guide ». Guide did not speak a word of English, did not even say hi. Was more of a driver than a guide. Paid 400K just to be driven around and they told me the guide spoke a bit of english.

Very clean, confortable bed and pillow. They can arrange for transport and tours Would of wished more confortable sitting space outside of room and locker for valuables.

The family are very welcoming and kind. Breakfast was great. Soap, toilet paper, and towel included. Warm shower. Comfortable bed with a thick blanket. Free tea, coffee and water anytime.

There's no sink and you really miss it. Having to use the shower for washing your hands, washing your teeth, ... is pretty annoying. There's no AC but I didn't really miss it, so not sure this is a con thing.

Bunks are comfortable and have curtains. There's a small shelf, light and power outlet in each bed. The bathroom is very clean. You can have a basic but tasty breakfast. The staff is very nice.

We rented motorbikes there for a week trip in Flores. The beds are very confortable/ good breakfast. Family business, really nice people. 100% recommended Nothing was missing there.

A sink and mirror in the bathroom, and maybe some fans for air flow in the rooms would be nice touch but you can get by fine without.

Beautiful family who speak English really well, they’re super welcoming and helpful. Good kitchen facilities, comfortable beds, hot showers and a yummy breakfast included. Off street parking for motorbike too which is nice. Stayed twice as we loved it there so much, would recommend to anyone!

It would be nice if a mirror and possibly a sink could be added somehow. It would be nicer to brush teeth in a sink instead of spitting on the shower room floor.

The host family is so friendly and welcoming. They have prepared great lists of restaurants and sites nearby, as well as a list of transportation possibilities to various locations on Flores. The breakfast served was simple but very good. Fresh bread, delicious fruit, vegetables along with a fried egg. Coffee, Tea and Water is available whenever you want it.

Nice place if you want to visiting ruteng. This hostel it’s very clean and cosy. The breakfast included it’s delicious, with fruits and pancakes. For finish the family can help you if you need information, motorbike, taxi ….

Cute little hostel. Comfortable beds with charging ports right next to every bed. Good flushing toilet, some of the best showers I've used in all Indonesia, and lovely outdoor garden patio area to chill and relax. What really makes this hostel are the staff - absolutely lovely and really ready to help you in any way they can! The breakfast they make is big, filling, and tasty. Would recommend to any traveller looking for a dormitory bed on their way through Ruteng.

We felt here like at home. So comfortable, clean and the vibe is so welcoming. Ino and his family are kind, smart and wonderful people! Breakfasts were different and delicious every day! You wont get any banana panckakes as in 99.9% accommodations in Indonesia elsewhere. What you really get is the treat from local ingredients! Up to that, Ino does everything what he sees you might need and is so willing to help you with everything even before you ask. Up to that he went with us to Waerebo village where it popped up to be our guide in the end. So rewarding, fun, educational, inspiring! We love this place, Ino and his family, and we would definitely come back if we pass this place again. 100% highly recommended for everyone who wants to explore local kindness, touch of home and the pure Flores! :)

Some of the cleanest beds I’ve had in Indonesia/Southeast Asia. The family hosting us were among the most genuine and wonderful people I’ve come across! So attuned to the wants and concerns of the backpacker, always made us feel safe and always happy to chat! :) they would often go out of their way to recommend amazing activities in the area. 10/10 in any backpackers books.

The bathroom in the room doesn't have sink and mirror, but that's just small things that we could live without. But it's great that shower and toilet are separate and the toilet paper was provided which isn't that obvious on Flores.

The owners are amazing, very, very helpful and caring. Breakfasts were delicious and different each day. The rooms are super clean and every bed has curtains, light and power socket. The water under shower is hot and with really good pressure. In the kitchen is available water, coffee and tea all the time. You can also rent a scooter there and owners can reccommend places to visit in whole island and they can arrange really comfy transport to other cities. It's the best stay we had on Flores!

I‘ve had the best time at Ruteng Hostel. The family is so nice and I felt so welcome there. They made really good breakfast, organized a scooter and gave me some tipps what do to around Ruteng. I enjoyed my trip in Ruteng so much and had a great time there! 😊

We had the best time here. We stayed here and came back after exploring Flores and it was like coming home. The hostel is run by the most wonderful family and they helped us with planning out our entire trip around Flores. It was one of the best experiences we had in Indonesia and definitely a recommendation!!
