How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The gym and pool facility need an upgrade for a hotel of this size. Maybe the parking capacity also.
Good location, nice lighting in the room, obviously clean, good variety and taste of the breakfast, everything seems to be well-organized

Photos of the rooms are clearly very old and do not represent the current condition of the bedrooms. The cleanliness of the shower for instance is just passable, glass all scaled, dirt around hinges mold in corners etc. A fresh coat of paint in the bedrooms and a deep clean of the bathroom would have left us with a very different impression of the place.
Good location close to Gubeng train station, staff were friendly and they dropped us to the train station the next day for free. Pool was also nice and actually bigger than it looks in photos. Breakfast also very good, and bed was clean and very comfortable.

Nothing specific, if anything at all, maybe the pool is a bit small, but other than that, a really good hotel.
Very well equipped and centrally located hotel in Surabaya. The staff were very friendly and went above and beyond to cater for our specific requirements. We very much appreciated the option of getting an early packed breakfast when we had to check out before regular breakfast opening times.

The friendliness of the staff was very much appreciated. We stopped here on our way to Malang. The room was spacious clean and answered all our needs. Breakfast was a super experience too. We took advantage of the 241 offer in the bar too

The property is located at the hub of Surabaya and is easily accessible. The staff members including the Receptionists, restaurant staff and concierge were amazingly good and supportive. They are very well mannered and behaved. 10/10 for the hospitality.

- The room amenities are somewhat worn out. - Some staff don’t speak English. - If you need to use express laundry service, be careful. I tried to use express laundry which says ready in 5 hours, but eventually i get the laundry next day. And I had to call them several times to ask where my laundry is, although I told them many times my train departs at early morning.

The toilet sometimes didn't work properly.
The view from the room is beautiful, overlooking a river. Very tranquil. The room was clean and comfortable. The pool was convenient and clean.

There was no restaurant/bar/social cafe area
Room was very comfortable with an enormous bed. Everything was within walking distance. Breakfast was absolutely superb. Close to the main train station ( but need a taxi with Suitcase)

The taste of some of the Javenese food served at breakfast do not suit us. Maybe because they are East Javanese specialities, whereas we are from Central Java.
The pool, the room, the facilities are excellent.

Rooms are clean, enough space for two. We are able to get connecting rooms. Beds & pillows are comfortable. Room lighting is good, bright enough. All staffs from the front offices, concierges, door bells, parking staffs are attentive and helpful. Housekeeping is good, cleaned daily. Breakfast has plenty of choices of local delicacies. Value for money!

The front desk staff , especially dyeing check out is very slow and ignorant. Shw told me to wait for 5.minutes because someone ahould check my room before check out, asking mw to sit down and will call me after ita finished. However ahw didnt return to me, and only after 10.minutes I went back to front desk asking whats going on. She said oh you are donw and can leave. If I didnt go to front desk again,.maybe i should wait till noon timw for nothing. They also didnt give me a formal receipt.
The location, the building, the rooms are great. The staff during breakfast were very helpful. Room is very comfortable.
