Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CanadaWe had way too many flying ants inside our room specially during the night if a light is turned on an incredible amount of ant will start showing up.
Amazing view, direct access to the beach, the food was really good.

AustraliaHaving to go down the stairs to the bathroom
Breakfast was fine, it's all you need. We weren't too keen on the huts due to the stairs going down to the bathroom but the location and friendly staff topped that. We would be back.

IndonesiaGiant tokek in our bathroom. Thunderstorm wet the floor too since the bathroom is semi open air. Lots and lots of cicak, which is understandable since we picked the hut. Still scary tho.
The location is perfect for honeymoon. Secluded, with such a breathtaking view. Motorbike access only. I only met the staff on the last day, everything is set via whatsapp. I got complimentary breakfast (not sure if it’s complimentary or actually free). I had the best avo toast during my stay in bali. Private access to the beach!

Estonia- A little worn out, the mosquito net around my bed was partly ripped. - I had a rat in my room for a night. The next day I was given a new room but they didn't seem to be surprised about the rat... - Breakfast (included) was not good, very basic and not well made comparing to the food you can get in Bali. Orange juice tasted terribly artificial. - The staff did not seem very happy/motivated there either. - Unfortunately there was garbage floating in the ocean as well :/
Access to the beach + pool. Overall ok place (we booked the most basic bungalows), the AC is not very powerful and the walls are very thin.

AustraliaGreat location for surf. I could happily sit pool side or on the beach daily watching my husband surf the break. Accommodation is basic but cost effective. Staff were not as friendly as other bali hospitality venues. Reception rarely manned for getting towel etc. Food was mediocre, and we ate elsewhere most days. AC barely worked. Tried to open window and the hinges completely rusted with the window nearly completely dropping out. Handrails to bathroom and balconies completely rotted through and unsafe. I wouldn't stay here with smaller children.

AustraliaThe sheets were ripped, they kept coming off the mattress and it was very stained, the aircon even though on 16 was more like 25 and hot, made it hard to sleep, our rooms had outside toilet and shower with no roof, so in the middle of a huge storm the toilet paper was soggy as there was nowhere to keep it dry.
Location was fantastic, great that there are 2 high end resorts directly across the road that you can use their restaurants and pools without a minimum spend

United KingdomRooms didn’t get cleaned daily and it showed as the bathroom was unclean. Room didn’t look like it ever got dusted. The food in the restaurant was terrible. The cups had chips in them and needed cleaning properly. Safe wasn’t fixed to the cupboard so anyone could pick it up. No fridge No Kettle and no water given out daily for teeth. Towels were for beach as well as showering.
Location was great and pool was good and the sun beds

FranceThe food at the restaurant is not really good. The bungalows are quite old and deserve a strong refresh (mosquito net, bed sheets, bathroom ...). That's a pity because with such a location they have a very good potential to make it much better
The location of the hotel is very good with a direct access to the sea and close to the main attractions of Nusa Ceningan (blue lagoon or Mahana point). The swimming pool with view on the sea is also very nice.

FinlandLumbung didn’t smell nice. Pillows and curtains were moldy. You have to climb to the lumbung and then when you want to use toilet, you have to go down really unsteady stairs. These lumbungs need a proper renovations.
We stayed three nights here. First night at the lumbung and two nights in the bungalow, the bungalow was a bit nicer. The pools and the outdoor area are really nice and beautiful, next to the sea. The staff is really friendly. Laundry was really affordable.

South AfricaOur room was only cleaned once in 5 days when we asked - but it seems other rooms had a daily clean.
Secret point Huts are in a great location, fantastic sea views watching the surfers on the point break and just a short walk down some stairs to the beach. The 2 swimming pools were also a bonus. There are some great Warungs within walking distance. Giant Putu was really helpful organising our transport and scooters. The barista coffee is a really nice addition to the menu. Breakfast was limited but the omelettes were good and it was included in the booking.

TaiwanThe upper pool had some broken tiles on the steps and the deck had loose screws. On arrival, my daughter bumped her toe and they didnt have a first-aid kit on the premises. Just taking into account should a surfer get injured, I'm not sure how the injuries will be attended to.
Secret Points Huts didn't disappoint if you take the low price per night into account. We were pretty happy with the room but they only have the basics, no barfridge or hair dryer. The pools are clean but not well-maintained. The breakfast is a set menu with western or local options but also very basic. There are other better restaurants available just a few minutes walk from this hotel. The view from the restaurant is beautiful though and it also has a small beach where you can explore a bit during low tide. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and Secret Points Huts. They helped us book a snorkeling trip as well as transfers to and from Lembongan. I'd recommend this hotel if traveling on a budget and staying for three nights or less.

GermanyThe room was really dirty, especially the bathroom and the floor. We asked the staff to clean it, which they did for 10 minutes but still it was very dirty so that we bought our own cleaning things. We didn’t feel comfortable in this place. The great thing is the location and the view but otherwise i can not recommend to stay there.
