Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe hospitality, upkeep of the grounds and facilities exceeded my expectations. I stayed in a private and comfortable bungalow with a feel of authentic Balinese luxury. Every morning consists of a refreshing, exotic range of fruit with a choice of breakfasts. The spa treatment is not to be missed, due to the care and attention you receive from the talented staff, leaving you feeling exfoliated and relaxed. The shuttle into Ubud town is especially handy as you can enjoy the quiet of the area but are not far from the hustle and bustle of local markets and shops, temples, museums and attractions. Thank you for having me!

CanadaServices were excellent but the property had a more generic resort vibe and lacked the homey vibe I've consistently experienced in Bali.
Property is beautiful, well maintained and located on the beach. They evening cookie delivery was a delightful surprise.

AustraliaOur experience at Senetan Villas was outstanding. On the first day that we arrived, we were greeted with a welcome drink with a frangipani necklace, a fruit bowl, and foot soak. Unfortunately I was sick so they helped organise a doctor for me to see and brought complimentary homemade herbal tea to our room. One of the staff, Diani was so lovely checking in on how I was feeling each day and bringing me warm water at meal times to help with the sickness, unprompted. The place was extremely beautiful and the rooms were lovely and perfectly clean with drinking water refreshed each day. The temperature in the area is much cooler than other parts of Bali, so we didn’t need to use the air conditioner at all. Staff were happy to help with any request no matter what it was, and made us feel very much at home. The restaurant was great with many different options to choose from for breakfast, a complimentary afternoon tea each day, and dinner was lovely and not too expensive, with complimentary starters as well. The village was also really nice to explore. They had a local volleyball tournament they invited my partner to join in with, and everyone in the area was so kind and friendly. I cannot recommend Senetan Villas more highly, we will definitely be coming back if we return to Bali!

IndonesiaThe hot tub was a bit dirty with a couple of insects present. Additionally, the water flow was very weak, resulting in a long wait for the tub to fill up
The service was awesome. Me and my colleagues arrived in the middle of the night, around 12.00 am, but the host still greeted us with a warm welcome. We were also treated to a flower necklace/garland, welcome drink, and relaxing & fragrant hand towel. They truly know how to treat their cust after a long day. The service in the dining room during breakfast was also exceptional, making us feel like we were at home. Lastly, the vibe of the villa felt like so much 'Ubud'. Thank u!

QatarThere was nothing not to LIKE!
From the moment I arrived at the stunning Senetan Villa & Spa Resort in Bali, I knew I was in for a truly special experience. The staff's warm and genuine hospitality made me feel welcome and cared for from the very beginning. Every interaction with them was a delight—they were attentive, friendly, and always ready to go the extra mile. The villa itself was nothing short of spectacular. It offered a perfect blend of luxury and tranquility, with elegant decor and plenty of space to unwind. The private pool was a highlight for me—a serene oasis where I could relax and enjoy Bali's natural beauty in complete privacy. The dining experience was equally exceptional. Every meal I had was a treat for the senses, with fresh, flavorful dishes that showcased the best of Balinese cuisine. The chefs clearly put so much care into crafting each dish, and it showed in every bite. Senetan Villa & Spa Resort provided the perfect blend of luxury, relaxation, and authentic Balinese hospitality. I left feeling refreshed, pampered, and already dreaming of my next visit. If you're looking for a slice of paradise in Bali, this is the place to be. Thank you, Senetan Villa & Spa Resort, for an unforgettable stay!

United Arab EmiratesBed was hollow. After noon tea very basic. Room was nice and spacious but it is dated and need some updating and maintenance. Toilet seat was loose.
Staff was very friendly and helpful.. Located in the jungle far from noise. Only sounds from jungle. Good selection menu and average size portions. Good place to relax and do nothing.. Spa very basic but adequate. Private pool was convenient. Well priced for what you get. Open air bathroom with a roof cover and big stone bath.

United KingdomI noticed a slight lack of security - neither of the doors to my villa sealed fully, leaving a 2cm gap between the doors and the frames, even when locked. Given that the doors didn’t feel sturdy, I couldn’t help but feel they could easily be prized open in the unlikely event that a thief was nearby, despite the locks. Furthermore, some aspects of my villa were a little worn, especially on the outside (e.g. wooden panelling that needed repainting or replacing).
A slice of paradise in the most stunning location. After the busyness and heavy traffic of Bali, retreating to recharge in the middle of the jungle was such a welcome treat. My villa was so comfortable, spacious and private, and I particularly loved the outdoor bathroom! The pool was perfect, and I loved the occasional visits to my property of animals such as lizards (remember you’re in the jungle). The staff were outstanding - it really felt like nothing was too much to ask of these warm and hospitable employees. Finally, the restaurant was brilliant: a very expansive breakfast, lunch and dinner menu to suit all tastes. The staff were also happy to make accommodations for dietary needs. If I come back to Bali again, this will be the first accommodation I book!

AustraliaAbsolutely nothing.
I like the staff service, the food preparation and the room itself. They facilitated everything for us. Transport, information, reservations, and questions. We really had a great time, they offer a variety of services such as massages, large menu options, taxi, free bus to ubud, laundry or even bike rental at very reasonable cost. I would definitely recommend Senatan for all kinds of customers such as single people, honeymoon or families

AustraliaThe kitchenette wasn't equipped with any pans, plates or cutlery etc but maybe if you ask they will supply (and not sure why you would need to cook anyway given the extensive restaurant and room service menu), there are small fridges in the bedrooms. If using Grab to get there double check the address you select as it gave us two possible locations for Senetan Villas, both quite close to each other but we went to the wrong one first. It is also well signposted from the main road if you keep a look out on the left as you come up from Ubud.
Our two bedroom villa was very clean, comfortable and quiet - and it was amazing to swim in our private pool surrounded by jungle. Lovely indoor-outdoor living design, even better than the photos, and yet we saw very few insects. The staff are extremely kind and helpful. Excellent included breakfast and the afternoon tea was a nice touch, as was the welcome drink and foot massage. Drinking water is also included. Lots of choices in the restaurant for lunch and dinner, and they will bring meals and drinks to your villa for no extra charge if you prefer to eat there. They were also very understanding of my son's food allergies and adjusted his meals accordingly. My daughter and I enjoyed a lovely massage together onsite. Nice to be away from the chaos of Ubud, but there is a complementary shuttle bus there and back three times a day if you wish. It's also a good location for sunrise trekking in the mountains as it's on the way to Kintamani.
