Unfortunately, the drive from the airport can be a little heavy with traffic, perhaps because the nearby Canggu is very overwhelmed with tourists. However, once you get there it is easy to travel around by scooter/car.

This was our second time staying at Spaces Bali and it did not disappoint. The hotel is beautiful and ideal for a relaxing, quiet stay by the pool. Liese (one of the owners) was very helpful during our stay and guided us towards travelling to a make your own chocolate experience, which was pretty fun and delicious! I would also like to mention that all four members of our group noticed how happy and attentive each of their staff members were. We all enjoyed our chefs singing as they whipped up our delicious breakfast. I would definitely recommend a stay for anyone looking for a peaceful, relaxing stay.

It was overall a great experience to stay at Spaces. Thanks to the whole team, you made our stay pleasant and comfortable from the first to the last moment of our time at spaces (including Nyepi - silent day in Bali). My partner was quite sick and we got so much support and help. At any moment we felt the care and compassion. The accommodation itself is lovely and the garden with pool a great place to enjoy some time! Loved also the furry company 😋 the food is very tasty and another great thing to mention is the drinkable filtered tap water. I can highly recommend staying here and we will definitely come again!

It can be noisy

There was some kind of pomp going on and off in the night which was next to my room. Maybe the little pool. That had to make me wear earplugs but that’s a given in Bali tbh. So not a big deal

They just take it a step further then other hotels, it’s in the small details. Drinkable water from the taps, nice welcome snack, yoga mats etc Very nice joglo in the back. I love the inclusion of dogs and could have def stayed longer. Will def book again if I come back to Seseh

Everything was great!

Spaces is a completely different world than all Canggu. It’s peaceful, warm, and welcoming — everything I was looking for. Even though it’s just a 12-minute bike ride from all the trendy spots in Canggu, it feels miles away from the chaos. And honestly, you don’t even need to go far—amazing cafes, restaurants, yoga, and pilates studios are just a 5-minute walk away. Plus, Seseh Beach—a quiet, black-sand escape with barely any tourists—is only 6 minutes on foot. But what truly makes this place special is the heart behind it. The owners, Liese and Jonny, have created more than just a stay—they’ve built a community. From the moment I arrived, I felt genuinely welcomed by them and their wonderful team. Their welcome kit is the most thoughtful and helpful I’ve ever received, packed with handpicked recommendations that made my stay even better. The space itself is peaceful and quiet, which is rare on an island that’s always under construction. Every little detail—from the decor to the atmosphere—feels intentional, full of care and love. And the best part? Their seven adorable rescue dogs, who are the sweetest addition to this already warm and homey place. My room was clean, cozy, and had everything I needed. After a tough sunrise hike to Mount Batur, I asked the hosts if they could arrange a massage, and within no time, they set me up with an amazing masseuse. It was exactly what my sore body needed! I didn’t just find a place to stay—I found a place I’d love to return to and the place that inspires me. It’s Bali so this is a common issue but there was some mould growing on the walls in the bathroom which is not ideal.

Lovely boutique hotel with very nice rooms, personal terraces, and all the extra bits that make you feel properly looked after. You can drink the water from the tap because it’s filtered, the rooms come with robes, pool towels, welcome snacks, toiletries, yoga mats, blocks and umbrellas. They also offer books, sunscreen and a guitar in the communal base. Very considerate. The highlight was a massage therapist who came to the hotel so I had a massage just before bed.

We loved it here, really calm vibe, lovely spacious room (Glass), very clean, close to loads of cool places to eat and drink. Lovely pool area and especially lovely dogs! The staff were very nice and friendly and the owners were also super helpful and friendly. I’d 100% recommend staying here and would definitely stay again when in the area!

Absolutely loved our stay here! Right from the start the service was excellent. We were met at the airport by our lovely driver Ricky, who gave us all kinds of insights and recommendations. The place itself is stunning! The communal pool is everything you could hope for and it’s easy to spend hours lounging about. Don’t forget to apply the sunscreen like we did! The breakfasts were delicious and a great start to the day. The room itself was spacious, beds very comfortable, great aircon with a fan also, the private pool is the perfect place to relax and cool down if/when needed and the bathroom is very nice too. The staff were nothing short of amazing. Always so friendly and attentive. The owners made sure to come and introduce themselves, making us feel welcome and also offered many insights and recommendations…not least to try their on site massages - which were easily the best we’ve had! Highly recommend! The owners were also incredibly sweet and accommodating, going above and beyond to help me while I was unwell. The area itself is pretty quiet which was just what we were after. However the beach is a short walk(<5mins) and you can also walk to Canggu along the beach within 15mins. They have scooter rentals on site also if you fancy. Cannot recommend this place enough and would definitely stay here again!

It’s honestly hard to find anything we did not like but if I was really trying then I could say I would have liked for our towels to be replaced daily as part of the daily clean.

The location was brilliant, close to main canggu but quiet and a 2 minute drive to a beautiful sunset spot on the beach. The staff were friendly, accommodating & attentive. We loved the cafe’s, restaurants & shops nearby that were all high quality but very well priced. We spent more time around the local area of Seseh then we spent going into canggu.

The only thing that comes to mind is, while the dogs on the property are pleasant during the day, we had one night where the dogs were barking us awake at 4 am and I had to personally go outside to shhh them. That’s the only thing that could be improved.

Everything. The villas were comfortable, private and just plainly wonderful. We had one with a small private pool in addition to the large one, which was fantastic. Johnny and his staff did everything they possibly could to make our stay as pleasant as possible. We decided to arrive a day early on short notice and they solved the issue to my highest satisfaction. There are a lot of little perks that stand out, from a little homemade welcome basket to filtered drinkable tap-water. The place is a five minute walk from the beach. They also rent scooters if you want to explore the area.
