The location is perfect right on the outer caldera rim, a great location to enjoy the view of 3 volcanoes. It was mostly cloudy when we were there, but still incredible, we had tantalising glimpses of the views and some lovely sunrises, a happy excuse to stay in the room all day to watch the scene change. Kimtamani is a very quiet location, but we were able to find a few places to eat within walking distance from the room. We arrived in a storm, and the owners were incredible at helping is get our bags to the room. They made us food because we didn't want to go out in the storm. Breakfast was also brought to the room so we could eat it whilst enjoying the beautiful view. Sometimes, we struggled to get in contact with the owners, compared to other places we had stayed it was a little slow, but there is no doubt they will do anything to help make the stay amazing for you.

We felt incredibly welcome at Tegal Sari. The owners are really nice people, the room was clean and comfortable, we had no issues with hot water or anything. They provided drinking water, a teapot, hairdryer and everything we may need to feel comfortable. There are stairs to go down but it won’t be a problem if you’re fit enough. The breakfast was simple and delicious, they even served it very early in the morning for us not to leave hungry 🥹

Absolutely nothing for me! (Maybe for some very unfit people the walk down and up from road could be a bit difficult.)

Exceptionally nice room, large, bright, clean, high quality bed - all like in a 4*-hotel! Amazing view over Lake Batur and its surrounding volcanos. Breakfast is plenty (omelett, toast with jam, fruits, coffee). Definitely will stay there again!

The view from the cabin was stunning, especially at sunrise. The staff were super kind and made our stay even better. The road to the cabin is fine, but might be a challenge for older guests or lazy westerners. Overall, a fantastic experience and highly recommended! You should also try Warung Mina which is right next to the cabin.

The bathroom has poor ventilation. Electrical outlets have child safety locks which are annoying since they make it really hard to plug in anything.

The cabin has a great view of the volcanoes, the staff was very nice and accommodating, there was hot water (sometimes you just had to wait a minute or two for it to start flowing) ... Altogether our stay was great. In the room you also get a menu from a nice nearby restaurant (Mina) which is a nice convenience.

The cabins are located 250m from the main road. The hot water from the shower went from warm to cold and back...

The cabins are simple and comfortable and give a fantastic view on Mt Batur and surroundings. We were welcomed by a very nice team that carried our luggage from and to the main road. In the morning we could enjoy our breakfast in the room enjoying the beautiful view.

The room is not the cleanest, also a lot of insect in the room. You pay more only for the view, otherwise you can find much better price-quality value accomodations.

Water heater got some issue. Access to reach the cabin was a challenge, not a regular walk. The rest was ok.

The view (when it's not rainy) get us a unique canvas. & the staff hospitality. Good for couple with decent budget.

Amazing view and extremely lovely owners. The breakfast was also fairly big and delicious. Might be a bit more difficult to find (it is a small street in between two temples that you have to take) but you will be away from all the noise, hidden in a place with nothing but a beautiful view of the whole area and all 3 volcanoes.

For a solo traveller it felt a little isolated since the other cabin was unoccupied for the second night ( more cabins are under construction).

Incredible views, private terrace was just amazing especially at sunrise. Staff was super friendly, nice to have breakfast at the terrace after sunrise.
