Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaThe public areas were run down. Pools not well kept, pool furniture mouldy and unusable. We didn’t use any of the pool or gardens as they were not pleasant.
The room was enormous. Beautifully set out and clean. Staff were friendly and very accommodating. Gorgeous mansion style hotel.

Australiafor the price, I thought the rooms were dingy and dark with no ability to have any sunlight in the second room at all. the furniture in the second room made it crowded. the fridge in the room was so loud that we needed to turn it off to sleep. I love a tropical setting, but the gardens are so overgrown. the paths are not clear to walk down without overhanging leaves, so if it rained, this would get you wet too! the pool furniture needs updating and the materials cleaned so you feel you can sit on them. it was not at all inviting to sit on. I had to use a towel or strong to feel clean. pressure cleaning the path and surrounds of the pools would make it a lot nicer. we also had them spraying chemicals, which we could smell and had to retreat inside to our dingy room whilst the sun was out.
the staff were really beautiful, friendly, helpful, really very good and no complaints. the staff were very responsive to any demands. the rooms were clean, and we had everything you would need. supplied with a generous amount of water. our little pool was so well kept and inviting.

Loved the gardens and the quietness. Where I stayed they had filled the pond with koi carp and I would disturb a heron each night who was intent on catching one. That was a bonus. I had some great massages and the staff were so lovely.

AustraliaWifi kept crashing. Very noisy - we were warned about construction work but it went until after 9pm. Also there was yoga teacher training with a very loud after party. Complained and were moved but still issues with wifi.
The entrance was very grand. The grounds had some nice gardens.

AustraliaThere was LOTS of building and construction going on at the venue. So lots of tradie types in and around. Loads of smoking going on and quite often the sound of banging and power tools during the day. The breakfast location was a little hard to find initially as it was currently under renovation or something and moved to another area of the venue. The on site classes and facilities were also impossible to book or try and do but they advertise yoga classes and things all over. So a little annoyed we didn't get to try any classes. Breakfast was decent with some solid options and very nice view. Though they played 1 Taylor Swift on repeat the entire time we were sitting there and the same song basically every day... It got a little annoying. Also, if you are planning to walk around and into town it is about a 40 min walk BUT the venue offers a free shuttle every few hours into central Ubud which is lovely. All in all very happy with the stay though.
Venue is stunning, so many areas and so many things to look at and explore. There are tonnes of people always around as a few yoga schools operate at the venue. So there is a good vibe in and around. The rooms are very spacious and the beds very comfy.

AustraliaMy hot water kept turning off. I think the rain had something to do with it. Of course, I often didn’t realise until I was already in the shower. Washing my hair cold water wasn’t fun. The wifi outside my room was terrible, so if you’re there for work, this is something to consider. It’s a long, hot walk into town.
This is a sprawling property surrounded by nature. There are numerous pools, but only two are near ‘bars’. I was dubious about staying here after the mixed reviews, but did anyway because the others I was with were staying here. There is a lot of nature, including trees and bugs. It is a lot of upkeep to stop leaves falling into pools etc, but it is clean. It’s not pristine, like a hotel where you have four walls, my bathroom was open air, and had a garden in it. It is Bali. The food at the restaurant was really nice, but I didn’t eat Western food. If your breakfast is included, it’s a choice of several set menus. My fave was the vegetarian fried rice, and I’m not veg. The staff is lovely. Very friendly. There are plenty of places to sit and contemplate or work, as the case may be. Turn right from the property and around to the left, there is a veg place that sells lovely food and a vegan offer place that sell great coffee. Turn right and left at the corner and walk down to Warung Jouse for Pecel, which is delicious, but a bit spicy. Turn left and there is a laundry, but is quite close. There is a shuttle into town and a reasonable gym. Cups, kettle, daily water, mini fridge, room service and housekeeping are included. I was able to get a late check out til 2 for free. There are showers to use near the main pool, if you stay on after check out.

AustraliaThe grounds were not maintained well at all compared to other places we had stayed. The entire hotel looked tired and many areas closed. This hotel doe not look like the pictures. The outdoor furnishings are old and were never clean. The breakfast was terrible. We had to go out every day despite paying for a buffet that did not supply the many fresh foods readily available. They market themselves as healthy and also vegetarian/vegan friendly, yet it ws only ever basic old looking pineapple and flavourless melon on table, despite walking out to the streets and being able to access a wide array of beautiful ripe fresh fruits. The only serial was like a co co pops (full of sugar). The dinner menu in our option was far too complex and the quality very poor and again, way too much fried food. We chose to eat out mostly when possible due to this also. They would be better reducing the enormous menu (which can only be frozen foods) they then cook and focus on a couple of dozen great fresh meals cooked well and with flavour. Sorry guys; but I we and many others felt the same about the food. It really does feel at this venue that it is used for EVENTS due to its size and therefore takes advantage of such and that there is little focus on the important things (particularly at the rate of $200AU / night). We wouldn't come back here or be able to recommend sorry.
The rooms were lovely and beds comfortable in the Villa's we stayed in. Unfortunately the water pooling/plumbing seemed to be a recurring issue with many showers. The grounds were spacious.
