Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Czech RepublicBreakfast was nice, though not much variety if you are staying longer. No restaurant at the hotel. There are other restaurants very close (especially Warung Gauri with great food at great prices), but if you imagine yourself at the pool sipping long drinks, this might not be the place for you.
Great location, super friendly staff, cosy atmosphere. Rooms big enough and very clean. Would definitely stay again when in Ubud.

AustraliaWe loved the accommodation. The location was perfect, the staff were great and the pool and gardens were beautiful. Runik is the perfect place to stay. Our only negative was that the bed was a little hard, and the pillows had no filling.

AustraliaWas a little hard at first to find off the street so maybe a little more signage?
The Runik Hotel was our favourite stay while we were in Bali. We stayed for 3 nights over our 10 day holiday and it was by far the best hotel we booked. The staff were nothing short of excellent and extremely friendly! Big thankyou to Andy. Breakfast was plentiful and for only 80,000 IR you can’t go wrong. The room was tidy and provided lots for our stay including body wash, shampoo, conditioner, hand sanitizer and even cotton buds for our ears! The WIFI was a no hassle and worked the entire time with the Netflix provided by the hotel. If you’re gonna stay we recommend the bath tub suite for sure!!! My partner and I used it every night and the tub was so relaxing after a day of exploring Ubud!

United KingdomI don't have anything negative to add. Ubud is very busy but the hotel was a sanctuary from that.
The Runik is a lovely place to stay. It has a traditional feel to it and has statues and shrines amongst the pool and garden. The staff were very lovely and attentive. They carried our bags and always had a smile. We were able to book a tour directly with the hotel. We enjoyed the breakfast that was included with our stay - very tasty and healthy. The banana pancakes were good. The location is tucked away 5 or 10 mins walk from the busy Ubud centre. Definitely recommended and my wife and I enjoyed it and would stay again

Friendly staff(2 puttu’s, wayan and raj), sunsets were beautiful from the balcony area, location (pros - near Bisma street, restaurant and spa options nearby, prime tourist spots around, con - passage to the hotel is a little sketchy but safe)

It’s a little paradise on a side street and walking distance from ubud center. We loved the room kn the second floor with an amazing view on the city and the rice fields. The pool area is lovely, so is the whole staff. The rooms decoration is decent and the salt for a bath a nice plus.

United StatesYou can't get there by car and have to walk a path that's not comfortable in spots. Also, can get really muddy with puddles in the rainy season.
Wonderful stay in a hideaway location, just off the main area of Ubud. The grounds were gorgeous, the room comfortable and clean, and the staff was amazing! Make sure to include the breakfast for your stay, it's so fresh and generous and individually made for you.

United KingdomPoor amenities/facilities within the hotel, Iron not available in the entire hotel and access to the hotel is not possible by car. You must carry your suitcase throughout very narrow roads with uneven surfaces and lots of potholes filled with dirty water. Distance from the hotel to the main road is about 10 minutes. Bath-up in the room is not comfortable or fit for purposes, also the bathroom smelled dampness.
The room and the comunal pool deco looks nice. Staff very helpful and amicable

United KingdomNothing we didn’t like about the stay. Hotel is about a 2 min walk from the street entrance and isn’t accessible by car but that didn’t bother us and the staff came out to take our bags on arrival.
