Clean and cute place. Great breakfast and the nicest staff. A bit remote, if you want more activity maybe only spend one night here.

Nothing there to not love!

I loved everything about the place. The location, the view (forested, down the hills) the proximity to the Crystal bay (and Pandan beach), the quietitude as opposed to all the loudness in popular beach towns - all of it. It's around a group of 6-7 traditional bungalows that make up the Tinsi. It's a family-run operation, and seeing everything just so, going about the usual, is beautiful. The food.. where do I start. I tried their cap cay chicken and chicken curry for dinner, and it was SO good, I immediately picked up my phone to write a note of appreciation for them. I even considered extending my stay for a week at the place: it was anyway rainy, and i would have loved to spend some more time to myself here. But, as life goes. I promised to myself that I would return soon.

It's abit of a trek to get to and out of but the hotel can arrange a driver to take you around to visit the popular spots, places of the beaten path and drives extremely safely.

A secluded area of the island but walking distance from Crystal Bay. Lush greenery, fruit trees and very peaceful and tranquil.

AC only cooled room 3-4 degC below outside temp, but was enough.

Breakfast was ample. Staff were very friendly and helpful, helping us to arrange tours and transport around the island. Room was clean. Fresh towels every day. Lovely bathroom.

We had a wonderful time at the Tinsi. Walking a little stroll through the forest, to get to the beach. Snorkelling with coral in 100 colours and lots of fish. The owners where lovely and the food delicious. Nice beds, lovely sound of a gecko on the roof.

Not an issue with the Tinsi but ATM can only be found at the harbour/centre so get some extra cash before you get there, as you will need it when travelling around and paying taxis, however you can pay by card at the Tinsi and nearby restaurants.

The Tinsi is an amazing lovely place located in a quiet area away from the 'happy hour' crowd which is what I was looking for :-) Crystal Beach is 10 mins walk from the accommodation. Staff is exceptional, super helpful and friendly and I felt looked after like at home. The room is huge and spotless clean and new towels are provided every day. Koman, the hotel receptionist, also helped me to arrange a tour on a scooter with a local guide. Breakfast is delicious and it's served in the lovely garden.

Can’t think of anything!

We had the most magical stay at Tinsi. It had such a family friendly feel. The family/staff made us feel so welcome and really helped us on the island. They helped us with a taxi to get to places and the taxi driver even waited for us and brought us home again. We were also able to rent scooters at a very good price. They also set up snorkelling for us to see the Manta Rays. The food there was lovely! It was such a peaceful area and extremely comfy beds and big rooms. The bathroom was a great size too! It was cleaned every day! It felt like we were really living the local Indonesian life. Crystal Bay beach is very close by, 10 minute walk. We ate lunch at the restaurant at the very far end of the beach, just up on the rocks. It was lovely! I would highly recommend staying at Tinsi if you want an authentic experience and meet some truly wonderful people. Thank you for such a great experience! We’ll be back again! - would recommend also going to Kelingking Beach, tembeling beach and forest. It was amazing! Scooting around the island is the best way!

Nice property,very clean,in nice garden. Extremely gentle people working there. Helpfull in all the matters. For taxi, travelling around the island,washing our dress.Everything for very honest price. it s possibility to paid by card. Very comfortoble big rooms and bathroom in small jungle near to Crystal beach. Near also to Padang bay beach by 10-15minuites trekking .

Not about the hotel but the area where is located is not so prepared for tourists and the way to the beach is kind of on not well prep for tourists so be careful to choose the main road to go to the beach where motorcycles and cars drive otherwise the jungle way is dirty and strange.

The location is good, because it's very close to the beach Crystal Bay, which is a great beach to swim and chill, but if you want to have bars or more cafes around, there isn't much in this location.

Top marks for everything. Great staff, could not do more to be helpful, friendly and efficient. Food was great, bedroom spacious and clean, same for bathroom. Tinsi organised a snorkelling trip for us which turned out yo be a success as we swam with Manta rays. Conveniently located for Crystal bay beach. Very good value for money.

• Very bumpy dirt roads (but most drivers didn’t fuss) • Nothing we didn’t like about property, just wish we could have stayed longer!! • If you don’t have a scooter restaurants are too far to access by foot but they have cooked food at bungalow. (There’s also Warung at Crystal Bay.. But we didn’t eat there so no review possible on hygiene.)

Nothing to dislike about the property. The only thing is the traffic and roads on the island itself (very bad) and therefore it’s a 30 minute drive by scooter to the center, which was a bit long.

Very spacious Bungalows and outdoor areas,the owner(man)cooks the breakfast and was very tasty. Everything was clean.No pool but allowed to use the pool next-door which was very refreshing.
