The owner is very friendly and helpful. Clean, basic room with open-air bathroom and AC. Free coffe, tea, cookie, which was really nice :)

The pillow was a bit hard.

Very comfortable dorm room. Clean sheets, showers and bathrooms. The owner was friendly and the hostel yard beautiful with a little fish pond. Location is convenient next to a lot of great restaurants and not far from downtown.

Room a bit small. Had to take a taxi to get to town. Hard to get hold of anyone if you need some info or want to book something. Wrong on Google Maps, stay on main road and look for Hostel name before turning into any street.

It was very quite in a back street. The bed had a mosqito net which was a life saver. Outdoor shower and toilet was interesting. Tea, coffee and cookies for breakfast. A refill station for your water. Heaps of Mediterranean places close by.

Only 1 thing to say for the perfect price, the boss is very helpful. The room is very clean. Breakfast and cake every morning. Peace of mind at the guesthouse. Many nearby restaurants. We had booked for 4 days and stayed 6 days. We highly recommend this guesthouse.

It's a bit far away from the city centre although there are lots of shops around.

I liked the aesthetics of the accomodation. Complimentary coffee was always set in place. It's good value for money. Beds are very comfy. The bathroom is so beautiful and original.

We had a wonderful stay, it's probably the best place we've stayed at that price range so far across Bali and Java. Great value for money, the listing doesn't do it justice. We extended from 3 nights to 5. We'll definitely stay here next time we're in town. Room and bathroom were clean and well fitted. Bed comfortable, AC and mosquito net. Bathroom is big. The decoration is pleasant. The host is attentive. There's a communal rooftop we had to ourselves because there weren't many other guests. We rented scooters through the host to go to Borobudur and they were great and affordable. The location is wonderful, plenty of nice cafes and restaurants around. We loved it

Small but cozy, great location, and incredibly friendly hosts. I had a wonderful stay here. The accommodation is small but perfectly designed, offering everything you need for a comfortable visit. The location is fantastic, close to one of the main streets with good restaurants. What truly stood out was the exceptional friendliness and helpfulness of the hosts—they made me feel so welcome. Highly recommend this place!

The curtain is a little thin so light comes through in the morning, and the room is a little small, but not major issues considering the price. There was a slight delay in our check in as the host was working in another room.

Very good value stay near one of the bustling streets, short driving distance from the main sites, free water available (when replaced), air con, spacious bathroom, TV, dimming lights, mosquito net, free tea/coffee/biscuits everyday.

The room is a little small for two people and wish the koi pond/fountain had more water in it. We felt sorry for the little fish.

The shower temperature was a little challenging, alternating between very hot and a bit cold. The bathroom isn’t entirely separate from the one next door (there’s a gap at the top of the wall, very high up) but no one was using that bathroom while we were there so it was all fine.

A lovely, comfortable, and quiet hostel close to busy and interesting parts of Yogyakarta. I appreciated the coffee, water dispenser, washing machine, comfortable places to sit. The rooftop was really nice — you can see a nearby volcano when it’s clear!

- (I want to reiterate that this property is exceptional and the things below are extremely minor) - It was not clear to me that it is a cash only property, and I had some confusion with this (especially because it takes a credit card to confirm the booking). The owner explained he cancels the credit card payment before it happens as long as you check in on time. This all ended up being fine, and the owner was very kind, letting me get settled in and checking my documents to double check that. I still think it could be clearer in the process - While the private bathrooms are private, the wall between them does not completely separate the rooms. While it is still impossible to see into the other bathroom, you can still hear noises from the other side of the partition (which didn’t bother me, but I could see it being an issue if you are a little more self-conscious) - While it’s called a hostel, it didn’t have the hostel vibes I was expecting. Although I was in a private room, there aren’t really shared common spaces and I didn’t really see many other people around. I think this could be a positive or negative depending on your preferences.

We really enjoyed our stay at Zen Moon. The location was perfect with lots of nice restaurants nearby. It was like a little oasis in a busy city! The room has a lovely outside bathroom, a mosquito net and the price for a double-room is unbeatable. The owner was lovely and always provided tea, coffee, hot water and biscuits.

There was a cockroach in the bathroom on my last day, which I was surprised at, because the bathroom was quite clean. It scuttled away though, so didn't really bother me. The shower temperature would fluctuate from hot to cold but again, didn't bother me too much. Despite this, I'd really recommend staying here

The host was very helpful and friendly. He suggested a place to rent a scooter and where to get a bus to Magelang. The location is great, it's a short walk to shops, restaurants and ATMs. The bus stop is a 10 minute walk away, although I mainly used a scooter. The hostel is in a side road, so is fairly quiet. The beds were comfortable, the dorm and bathroom was really clean and the WiFi and air conditioning worked perfectly. There was a free water refill and some toiletries provided. There is also a nice rooftop to relax.

This accommodation was amazing. The photos don't look as nice as it is. It's perfectly clean and comfortable. There's always hot water and tea/coffee. The manager is very kind and always keeping things tidy. I'm not sure there was actually breakfast...

The location, quiet, away from the main road. Near to a variety of restaurants, local market. A lovely rooftop terrace, amazing sunsets and you can see the top of the merapi when the sky is clear enough Very comfortable, good bed with mosquito net. Hot tea/coffee always available. And a lovely bathroom. Friendly and nice host. I can totally recommend this place.
