Our stay at Alaind was lovely! Even though we ended up checking in several hours ahead of our communicated arrival time, our host let us in early and got us settled in. With their encouragement, they directed us to walk down to the village for dinner (make sure you RSVP ahead of time for dinner!), then an exploration of the village. The night sky was gorgeous and the view from our room allowed us to star gaze as we drifted off to sleep. When I woke up, the view included the neighbor's ponies and birdsong! Our hosts provided a hot breakfast and a lovely chat about our Ireland tourist plans and then sent us on our way for further adventures.

We had a wonderful stay! The location is perfect—just a 15-minute walk to the city center. The room and bed were extremely comfortable, ensuring a restful night’s sleep. The owners were incredibly nice and thoughtful, making us feel welcome and well taken care of. If I had to mention one minor downside, it would be the morning noise from cooking and movement downstairs, which can be noticeable. Overall, though, it didn’t take away from our enjoyable experience. Highly recommended.

It’s just personal choice, but we learned now for ourselves that we can’t sleep in a queensize bed (140x190) as a couple. The bed was too small for us, the duvet too heavy and thick and the mattress too hard. But I guess, lots of people can easily cope with the bed. I would have liked more space/shelves in the bathroom for toiletries. House is really thin-walled, you can hear everything.

Trish and Chris are exceptional friendly and helpful hosts. Easy self-check in. Nice, clean, tidy room. Freshly, personal made breakfast. Quiet and relaxed area. We even saw a deer in the evening on the terrace. Perfect location for ring of Kerry

We stayed one night. very good location on the ring of kerry. A few minutes to the center of Sneem. The hosts, Trish and Chris, were very nice and helpful. Willing to provide information to tourists. Large room, comfortable bed with a duvet, just like in a hotel. Shower with hot water. a delicious breakfast prepared on site. Thank you for a pleasant stay Iwona and Rafael

The only drawback for us was the stairs to our room, We both found them hard to climb, having artrectic knees joints. However, the room was light and airy, with tea & coffee making facilities which served us well after a long drive.

The Lodge has a very nice setting within distance to Sneem village. There are sufficient amount of cafes and restaurants to have a bite to eat, serving varieties of culineries to choose from. Sneem village is very quant with old style surroundings, ample walk areas with beautiful picturesque scenery to view. Breakfast at the lodge was amble and very enjoyable. Trish, our host, was very pleasantly attentive and made our stay most welcome.
