How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Couldn't stay another night.
Perfect location. Easy walk to everywhere in Dingle. Karolina, the host, is super friendly & accommodating. She went way above and beyond and could not have been any more pleasant. Everything was clean and proper.

No T.V. in room. Shower was cold. Only continental breakfast - was expecting the option of a cooked breakfast.
Location is great. Staff very friendly. Room very clean & comfortable.

The heater was not working the first night so the room was very cold. On the second night the heater was initially working, but then stopped, but it had warmed up the room already so it was fine
The location and the check-in/check-out process was very easy. The room was clean and comfortable.

Shower head was a little old and spurted in a few different directions but it wasn't a big deal.
Absolutely perfect location, short walking distance to everything you need in town. Loved having 2 pillows each to make it extra cosy. Breakfast is cereal, toast, coffee and tea.

The property was not staffed, except at breakfast time. The check involved a key taped to the door. It’s more like a share house. That was fine on this occasion, but some travellers might feel vulnerable.
Warm and clean bedrooms. There are useful common areas like kitchen and sitting room. The continental breakfast is simple and adequate.

No tv in room, room very basic, beds not overly comfortable, breakfast option poor, cost price does not match expectations, very noisy when guests entering and exiting building, woke multiple times.

The room and bed was pretty small for a couple. We unfortunately didn't meet the owners and the breakfast was rather poor compared to other B&B's in Ireland. You don't get anything cooked like scrambled eggs or something like that. It's more a self catering place and reminds you much more of a hostel than of a B&B. There was a lady sitting in the kitchen when we left but she (I don't know if it was the owner or staff) didn't say a word which I found kind of rude and not very thankful.
The location was great and everything was reachable in walking-distance.

Bed was too small and too soft, room was cold with no heating, breakfast was very poor for my taste, with cheap white bread and cerealsI expected at least boiled eggs and cold cuts.

Beds are really uncomfortable, very small room, shower system was awful as the temperature went either freezing cold or boiling hot. The curtains in the room are basically see through and are not long enough so the sun wakes you up super early.

Host was not there when we arrived. Room was tiny for 2 people & luggage. Breakfast was basically self-serve…..cereals, yogurt, toast. Some cut-up fruit, juice, tea/coffee. Not what we expected after staying in other B & B’s in Ireland.

No information about parking. Room very small and cramped. Easy to hear what was going on in the other rooms. This is a hostel, not a B&B. 130 a night for a room is simply too much. We paid the same in some hotels! We only met the owner/manager briefly. Let ourselves in. Parking is really problematic in this area.
