The location in the middle of the ring of Kerry was great, it may be hard to get to if you don't have a car but it is an amazing community venture with good facilities and clean rooms. Good value for money and nice flexible self check in.

nothing really. It was a great stay! One small hint though, there was a bit of mold at the ceiling of our bathroom. But since there is only a small window, it is difficult to get the humidity out. You might need a car there (it's a bit in the middle of nowhere, but that's also the charm)

Lovely Hostel, very welcoming, large room, authentic pub next door, large kitchen with all necessary utensils to cook (although you might have to bring your food as the shop there is tiny and has only a small selection)

Phone signal is patchy in the valley but thankfully the hostel has high speed wifi which more than makes up for it. It is a small price to pay for the stunning nature of the location.

Amazing location in a gorgeous valley. The hostel is clean and well presented with a well stocked kitchen for all your cooking needs and if you want to eat out then Cahersiveen and Waterville are both within a 10-15 minute drive for dining. The Inny Tavern is also located right next door if you fancy a quiet pint or two. The staff are friendly and approachable with in depth knowledge about the region. It's a great base for anyone wanting to explore the Iveragh peninsula as it is set right in the heart of the Ring of Kerry. I stayed there in winter and it was lovely so I can only imagine how gorgeous it must be in the warmer months of the year.

There was a lamp by the bed but no bulb in it, so maybe there should be a bulb put in it or else the lamp could be removed altogether. It's only a small thing.

The bedroom was comfortable and we'd our own ensuite. We didn't meet any staff but didn't mind. We still managed to check in and check out. There's a lovely spacious lounge-sitting room where you can watch TV. Plus there's cooking facilities-a decent kitchen. It's close to Waterville on the Ring of Kerry where there's a lovely beach and plenty of pubs, restaurants and cafes. There were towels too for showers and the room was bright and airy. It's close to Inny Strand too-a nice beach.

I loved this hostel. I stayed with my family of 5 in a private room ensuite - double bed and bunks, the two smallest sharing the bottom bunk - for one night. It was perfect. I would highly recommend. It even has a playground on site for the smalls. Facilities are perfect for making food. Great location in the middle of the mountains but also close to seaside spots in Kerry by car.

We loved everything about it, one of the best places we have stayed. The bedrooms are comfortable and with private bathroom. Extremely clean. Kitchen is great and well equipped with everything you need to cook. 2 big tables to share with the guests. Lovely living room with TV, books and some games. Staff is very kind and attentive. Great atmosphere among staff and guests. Highly recommended for your stay in County Kerry. Pub, small shop and playground 50 mt from the hostel. Also recommended if you are travelling with kids or small children.
