Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

PolandWiFi was available only in the common areas; in order to get to the shower one has to go through an semi-outdoor patio which is not heated
Very clean, nice breakfast, no problem with hot water, easy check-in, convenient & free parking

United KingdomThe plumbing was old, and consequently the toilet took forever to refill before it could be flushed again! 😂. The bathroom lock could've done with a bit of WD40 on it as well, to make closing and opening easier. However, these were minor thing's.. 🤷♂️
Very quirky, comfortable little place, that Melissa, the owner, kept spotlessly clean. It was a credit to her. Service with a smile, all question's answered. Great little place imo, that I'd highly recommend... 🙂 G

GermanyThe disadvantages are that the house is very noisy and that it was not really warm in the room in winter.
The hostel is charmingly located in a house on the main street of the village. The kitchen has most of the things you need.

United KingdomThe bedroom was very cold the first night and the beds were very uncomfortable. As I was driving, this made the next day pretty tough. Advertisement of a hot tub wasn't totally accurate, as it was filled with stagnant water and unusable which was a bummer.
Great location. Nice and quiet. Enjoyed hanging out with Jumpy the rabbit. Good value for money for what we were looking for, and a great stopping point on your way down the coastline in Ireland. Breakfast was adequate, nothing special but was what I wanted.

HungaryThe reception is practically closed, the host were only helpful when moving in, but less helpful when there was a deficiency hopefully just we got her heavy day . The parking lot and the indicated "jakuzzi", garden with swing , bbq grill and ocean views are not opened. You have to buy the wood for the barrel and it takes four hours to warm up, so the owner said that she would not undertake this. The bunny is cute, but it is the guests' responsibility not to let him in, because he pees everything and eats the apples and seeds left outside, he is very observant because he sneaks in if someone is not attentive. There is only 1 toilet with shower for 6 guests. Since the wifi is stuck, it is almost unusable.
Direct kitchen entrance from the bus stop. Stylish furnishings and everything you need for a short stay.perfect for a group of friends or just for sleeping.

Irelandladder up to the top bunk was far too small, wood felt like it was creaking and could hardly fit my body through. On the first night I did not arrange late check in. Would prefer it done by text.

IrelandThere is just one bathroom with toilet and shower for everyone so there could be a bit of a q at night and in the morning. No facilities for drying wet clothes like swim gear as far as I know. The small kitchen could do with a few knives for chopping vegetables
It is a lovely hostel, small and basic and it felt like stepping back in time when there were many hostels like this in Ireland. It wouldn’t be for everyone though… I do like simple things so it was perfect for me.

United KingdomNoise levels at times (at least in the double room by the kitchen), there needs to be better kitchen utensils for cooking (eg, knifes, peeler, pans, oven trays) and an extractor fan. An additional toilet in the hostel would really help.
Beautiful and welcoming place, host was friendly and helpful with our late arrival on first day, sitting room is cosy, overall there's a nice atmosphere in the hostel, the bunny is very cute. Breakfast includes a variety of options. Location and surrounding area are perfect

United KingdomThe tiny room is cold and cramped with very poor sound proofing. The host lives above the room with a small child (which screams a-lot). On arrival the smell of fresh paint in the bathroom was overpowering. I was the only guest in the property but if the accommodation was at capacity it would be far too cramped. The towels provided are the size of a tea towel so completely inadequate. Breakfast very basic with no provision at all for dietary requirements.

United StatesI thought the fireplace in my room would work, but it was boarded up and painted over. Also, as a tall person, my room was a bit cramped. I had a radiator on my room but saw no way to turn it on or adjust it, so i was a bit cold. I think this would be more fun with a group or during the summer months. Also, the instructions for the hot tub were a bit confusing, so I didn't use it.
Host had breakfast set out the night before. Some cute decorations and the outdoor area seems fun!
