The website and hotel itself shows several restaurants in the building: Mapas, Dungeon Bar, The Terrace, and PJ's. When we arrived, we found all closed, and the hotel was using the casual PJ's space as the dining area using the Mapas menu. Also, I would not recommend using the room service breakfast option - we were leaving too early to easily get breakfast in the restaurant and had it delivered. We paid $60 for the breakfast, which included a "Continental Breakfast (which is only a basket of toast, , jam, and a packaged yogurt) one 1/2 Irish breakfast. We were disappointed for the cost.

The hotel is located in a lovely area south of Dublin and easy to find. We requested an early check-in, which was quickly and easily accommodated. The hotel grounds are pretty and there are a lot of places to explore and walk around, and the paths to the coast are close by. This was our last hotel stay on a 3wk trip to Ireland and we booked it thinking it would be a luxurious way to cap off the trip. That being said, we did find the hotel to be a little more outdated than expected. The rooms in the pictures look gorgeous, but in reality, they're kind of dull, albeit moderately comfortable. Our room was advertised as a sea view, which it had a slice of. The twin room we booked for our young adult children was across the hall with a view of the lower hotel roof.

too far from the little village to easily walk after a long day. Not a complaint really, just my own experience. I got down to the pool from my room and they told me I had to have a bathing cap. Would have been good to know before hand.

Majestic location, a view of the sea from my room balcony. Very comfortable and classy room with a tub and shower, all the accessories you might want. Staff was patient and delightful, ready to help.

No air conditioning. Restaurant was unable to seat us on arrival. Restaurant staff seemed annoyed when we asked questions. Room seemed run down.

one restaurant open which barely catered for a vegetarian. I stayed two nights which meant there was no other option than the one thing presented on the very poor menu.

very poorly equipped for the disabled or visitor with mobility issues. front steps steep and treacherous. the disabled entrance on a slope side to side and up and down. would be tricky to push a chair in and for my father with walking issues the slopes were impossible so he had to use the steep front steps

I was sent a link from the hotel and according to the link wine should have been waiting in out room. Disappointingly it wasn't. The food in the restaurant was appalling. We did have a vegetarian option and was given a poorly prepared starter with too much basamic vinegar and the main course was an uneatable chickpea daal serve with no side dishes. It was unbelievebly hard to get the staffs attention. We weren't charged for the restaurant meal. The breakfast in the morning was very good. But be careful if you're gluten intolerent as we ask for gluten free bread and was given normal bread containing gluten.

It's an excellent hotel, the staff are courteous and the facilities are great.

Limited places to eat both within the hotel or with a short walk. No problem if you can jump in the car and go to Dalkey

Relatively quiet location close to Killiney Hill and to Dalkey and Killinery Beach (by car). Very comfortable room. The staff were very helpful, allowing us up to our room, even though we were having trouble paying with our credit card.

Not much to say in this department…The only problem was we couldn’t stay for longer!

I had been to the hotel many years ago with my family as a child- it has always been a fond memory. My boyfriend and I decided we should visit Killiney for a few days as he had never been to this side of the country. It was beautiful! The location is near the sea and just a 15 minute walk away from the beautiful village of Dalkey. Not only was the location the perfect getaway spot with plenty of surrounding restaurants and bars, but the atmosphere and the staff of the hotel were the most comfortable and welcoming. The food was very enjoyable and the drinks were even better! The staff were consistent in their interests of the guests, the facilities provided were of top tier in terms of accessibility and cleanliness and the rooms were the most comfortable….we were even provided with an electrical fan to help us cool down in the hot weather! Well worth the trip if anyone were to look for a long weekend away to a beautiful location where they can relax, feel valued and retain the experience in memory.
