Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

DenmarkWe booked a two person room for four nights. The room was in a very poor condition. Bad insulated windows with cold wind and noice flowing from the christmas market on the street. A curtain only able to darken half of the windows resulting in a lot of light from the street and christmas market passing to the room. A very worn down bathroom with a shower drain overflowing after just half a minute, no power plug, and no sink stopper. A lot of awful half hearted quick fixes on the room leaving us dissapointed with Generator Dublin.
Great location and friendly staff. Near public transportation and within walking distance to most of the central city. Near pubs, cafés, and restaurants

SlovakiaYou dont get towel which is stated in the description. You have to buy it additionally. There was balcony which was good but there was no way to lock it and second room has access to the same balcony too.
The lcoation of the hotel was really great! There was Christmas Market and skating rink right outside. Lidl and tesco for grocery shopping within 3 minute walk. We had room with a balcony which was really great.

United KingdomI arrived at 2.30, the queue to check in was nearly out the door with just one (very nice and professional) member of staff to check all the guests in. The self check in machines weren’t working and no one bothered to fix them. I quickly dropped my bag as it took so long to get a key so didn’t notice the sink was blocked and spitting up whatever was in the drain. I got back to my room properly about 9.30pm; that’s when I noticed there was only half enough curtain for the window. The shower wasn’t clean enough, the shower gel dispenser was empty, the whole night I could hear the bathroom fan squeaking, the shower try didn’t drain properly. Based on my experience, a private room is simply not worth the money for a Saturday night stay. Find a budget hotel that knows how to do budget well, rather than this expensive hotel that seems to be doing budget very poorly.
The location is good and easy to get to and the rooms were quiet.

United States2 of the other girls in the room were quite rude and a few of the other girls in the room constantly called them out for awful behavior. When staff was notified an employee was quick to remedy the situation.
The check in was quick and the staff was amazing, all staff in the bar and the ladies during breakfast were great too. The room was nice and the bathroom was larger than I though it would be. The location has so many things near it, like Jameson, Guinness, and lots of food options and a Tesco.

United StatesBunks didn't have privacy curtains, room didn't have a table to set anything down on. Shower/ bath could use a shelf or table as well. Metal walls on bunks needed to have their screws tightened
Smooth check in, baggage storage available, bar and restaurant on site, many options right next door. Soon to be a christmas market in the square out front, that would have bene cool to stay for.

IrelandWe had to put a duvet against the door to sound proof the room from parties. Room was rough. Dust everywhere. Smell of weed in the corridors. Blood and stains on sheets. We wont be back. Does do Justice to the Generator brand.

United KingdomAlthough the location and cleanliness was satisfactory, we booked one night during our layover and got no sleep as one of the neighbouring rooms had a group of men who were screaming and rattling the beds all night. I spoke with the reception team in the morning and they assured us they have security walk through the halls at night but clearly they did not quiet down the rooms and I was not offered any sort of compensation.

FranceEverything felt like an up-charge. You have to pay for every single little thing and it was a little tiresome. Pool cost money, ping pong cost money, shuffleboard cost money, etc.
Downstairs, near the lobby, there is a bar area with seats and games like pool, shuffleboard and ping pong. This was a great area to chill in when we wanted a relaxing night.

The staff have always been extremely diligent and helpful and welcoming and have made it a safe, and friendly place to stay when I needed to stay there.
