My room was on the 2nd floor and the noise from outside was very loud, in the middle of the night the fire alarm was on I don’t know why The hairdryer in the main bathroom could be better. The reception on my arrival was very good, the girl and the man (I guess they were from Brazil) they were very helpful!

The hostel is becoming old and the maintenance is terrible poor. Beds are very old and unconfortable. They charge for everything else. Rooms and areas smell so bad. In the room I stayed there was no power in the outlets I couldnt charge my phone overnight. Staff ate rude and dont care about the problems they generate. I want a refund or partial refund as thinks was not as it was supposed to be! They havent done anything to fix the problem or changing to another room! Really bad place avoid staying here.

The only think was the price as Dublin hotel prices are crazy expensive.

I had delayed flight I let them know got there 4 am and found out ide booked wrong night so was told pay again lot dearer than on booking .com and told to ask for refund for the wrong date I was told to check out at ten . Then I was put in a room with a female who after 30 min decided to go down and complain . Lad from reception came up woke me and moved me in with a bloke in another dorm . At 8 am the guy clearly not happy at us waking him 5am ish banged his way out the room slammed the door left lights on . I got up after less than 3 hrs kip . Don't know why has ide paid two nights I coukdent stay in bed. ANY way as I dident stay in bed I messaged for a refund and got no reply . 60euro for 3 hrs kip not good .

Poor ventilation, waterproof mattress cover with no additional sheet, pillow flattens instantly, six to a room is too many, bathroom had no exhaust fan or it wasn't working, doors are very loud even when you're super careful, no quiet place in the whole hotel,

They were only accepting card payments, yet to use the pool table, you need cash/coins yet nowhere you can try to exchange the cash. And no signage that it will only accepts cash. Would be better if they have a machine that can exchange paper money to coins like the one's on arcade. Food is ok.

This is the first hostel I've been to where the beds were not made for you, where you werent provided a towel or items to wash up with, or a lock for your things. It was also very loud even at 1pm.

The electronic check-in is very easy to use and should be implemented in other hotels/hostels.

The Staff were very friendly and very nice. The bathrooms within the Hostel were very clean and tidy! The dorm that I stayed in was also very clean with nice clean bed sheets and a good mattress! The Hostel had a really cool bar area downstairs on the ground floor with really cool lights. Really cool vibes in there. The Hostel also has a food menu with nice options on it. The Hostel also has a vending machine near to the reception desk which I think is a nice idea. I'd definitely give this Hostel a go if you are planning to stay somewhere nice in Dublin that's not too expensive. It's also less than a minutes walk from the luas line and a bus stop! I'll be back again for sure.

Not that clean, 15 people in the room is too many, you couldn't sit in your bunk bed, loud at night, no kitchen and no snacks allowed

It is very dirty place with old rooms. Everything in the room is cheap and falling apart. I know, it is cheaper and only 3 stars, however you can at least clean rooms and showers.

The noise level was intolerable. The partying continued til 4am and I had to get up at 5 for my bus. It should be advertised in capital letters that this place is geared towards young people who don't need to sleep.

The price and location were good, especially if the stay had been more functional.

Nothing, everything was great!

The atmosphere of the hostel was very vibrant and trendy. There were people from all different age groups. Ambience, excellent and caring staff and location were the best things about Generator Dublin. Easy access to grocery stores, tram stops, bus stops, restaurants in the area. In middle of student residential area and walking distance from the main canal.

I can hear everything,too noisy and everything about the booking system. I booked female dorm but I ended up to a mixed dorm. It was ok for the first night because we were only 2 ladies in the room. The second night, when I check in again, I was in mixed dorm. I thought, ok fine because I’m the only one in that room but around 4 am, someone opened the door and there is one guy just came and used the bed beside me. I was so nervous and my anxiety just went up.., I was shaking because I was surprised. I came down to the reception and asked help fortunately the receptionist came up with me and asked the man to changed the room. I wanted to experience the back pack traveler but ended too disappointing . Kudos to all the reception staff because they are trying to do their jobb and helping customers. They are very nice and top notch customer service.

Both the sink and the shower tray were blocked, so the water could not flow properly and remained stuck.

The best thing is the location. It is close to the center of Dublin, approximately 20 to 25 minutes walking. There are bars and cafes nearby, as well as bus stops. Highly recommended!

The facility was not super clean but it was ok, and the room could have been better for the price-quality range.

Location is only 10 minutes walking distance to the center and the pub/restaurant seemed nice. Also the staff was helpful, very kind and nice to us all the time.

Room was a weird shape. Toilet was smelly despite looking clean. Whole building was noisy so could hear people next door to you or anyone walking by your room etc. Room and corridors just felt undone/dirty.
