How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

It was a traditional property, a home where generations of the family had lived. It had a link with Irelands War of Independence. It was not luxurious, but it was clean and had all that I needed. Karl & his parents were very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was very good and home style. I can’t afford luxurious & I prefer plain. There aren’t enough properties like this imo.

We had a room with two bedrooms and one of the beds was definitely in need of replacing, it was like a trampoline, thankfully the other bed was brilliant.
Awesome staff, great knowledge of places to visit on our road trip and more than happy to help. Lovely bar downstairs with friendly locals and plenty of options for breakfast.

Owner very welcoming and Roisa could not have been more helpful. Continental breakfast buffet all you could eat and plenty of it

The room was not ensuite but that was listed in the booking before I confirmed the booking. Rooms over the bar area were noisy, again not a huge issue for me as my stay was mid week but may not be suitable for families with kids going to bed early
My stay was short as I was travelling for work, location was good in that regard. Bed was comfortable and room was clean. Staff were excellent very chatty, welcoming & accommodating. I needed to stay on in the morning to do some work on the laptop it was no problem and was accommodated in a quiet room off the bar/breakfast area (thanks guys)

We were a group of 4 and were given 2 separate rooms that varied a lot in facilities, one very modern and another one quite dated, on top of the pub (which was fine for us but may not be that great for people who want to go to sleep early).
The hosts were amazingly helpful and friendly. The atmosphere in the accommodation and the bar downstairs was great and authentic.

Not really a dislike but it is obviously noisy above the pub, unfortunate that we were feeling a little bit ill that day so didn’t get the opportunity to have a sing song with the other revellers.
Great location, great welcoming staff, very friendly & knowledgeable, took time to show us maps & best places to visit, really family oriented & the lovely dog who comes to visit the guests

The mattress was quite bad and it's good to have a lively bar but it's important that customers don't mind the noise
The staff are extremely welcoming and friendly. The bar is friendly and very lively. Breakfast was good!

Very basic accommodation and breakfast, however that being said gave it that authentic feel which we didn’t mind one bit.
Family ran, very welcoming and chatty hosts with good recommendations of where to go/ what to do. The actual pub is mint. Busy whatever day of the week and a cracking pint of Guinness, naturally…

The bathroom shower was a little mildew-ed. otherwise, the whole room was clean and comfortable.
The room was comfortable and the location was easy to get to. Quaint quiet stay. The owners were very friendly and pleasant. We enjoyed meeting the owners and their dog.

The room could use updating and there weren't any open restaurants in town. Only takeaway
