For the price we paid there was nothing to complain about

Lovely staff - comfy room - spotlessly clean - lots of space - tea/coffee in room - great breakfast - good location (outskirts of city ) and excellent value for money

It would be nice if breakfast was included in the room price. Nothing else really.

Fantastic staff, restaurant, check in and bar. Very friendly and professional. The bar manager kindly phoned a taxi for us and then saw we were still waiting outside. He again phoned the taxi for an update and walked out to update us on its arrival time. Location is just off the bypass road with lots of secure parking Lovely home-made food.

Our room was facing the road so fairly noisy.

Enjoyed access to the inn so we didn't have to go far for food and drinks after a hectic day sightseeing. The room was very nice but a little small. Staff were very pleasant and helpful.

It's under renovation so the hallways are a little messy, but it wasn't a bother.

A "classic" inn next to the main road. Close to city center. A bigger bar and restaurant than we thought. The staff was nice and helpful. Rooms were adequate. We only spent one night there. Everything was fine.

Once they finish the construction and refurb then this will be a 9+ place.

What we werent aware of when booking was that the place was undergoing renovations and construction which meant carpets in hallways were missing and some lights only had wires instead of fittings; again nothing dangerous but a little unsightly. Our room itself was clearly not 100% finished, we noted that the bathroom door was sticking but when we came back later that afternoon someone had sanded the edge of the door and left the sawdust and waste on the floor. The shower seemed to leak on the door/screen and then it didnt so not sure if that was looked at as well. Finally the extractor seemed to bring in a smell of cigarette smoke; not sure if the outlet was above a common smoking place outside but it was something that we never go to the bottom of! Otherwise the bed was really comfortable, the room was warm and clean. The housekeeping visited daily to spruce the room and tidy. One other thing was the TV; although we didnt use it much at all, we couldnt seem to get a reliable channel or at least one that was watchable. Am sure this is on their list to complete as part of the refurb

The Glendine has all the feeling of a traditional pub but very much on a larger scale. There are dining rooms here, there and pretty much everywhere which is not a ciriticism but finding a quiet place to sit can prove a little challenging. The food and drink were of a really good standard and we had breakfast on one morning and an afternoon meal on another. Good selection and hearty food.

The room was a little dated. You could hear absolutely everything in the room next to us. But, we weren't too bothered by it. They are currently doing some renovations.

Great value for money, food was really nice, great selection of drinks at the bar. Will definitely be back.

Small bit far out from Centre so would need a car taxi or bus. We were only staying one night so did not affect us. They were doing construction work when we were there so was a bit rough lookin on way to bedrooms but this looked like it would be sorted soon.

Room seemed to have been done up recently. very clean and bed was very confrontable. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very tasty and lots of it. We had a meal the evening on arrival and was very good and plenty of food.

Strong smell of paint in bedroom but I understand that renovations were underway. Our room was at front of the Inn so traffic kept us awake.

The hotel is old style and feels old.

I booked a family room. The room had one twin bed and 2 single beds and was big enough to accommodate family of 4. The breakfast is good with full Irish breakfast having a lot of items on the spread. Overall the stay was good. There are not many other choices for lunch and dinner near by. either its a 10 mins drive or 3 km walk to the heart of Kilkenny where you will have variety of options.
