Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GermanyThe walls are super thin. They offered ear protections, but I would not recommend this hotel if you have a light sleep or if you need to do anything at night (talk, call...), your neighbours hear everything. I am talking from inside noise and not outside noise.
I thought everything was very uncomplicated and it is good value for money. Unfortunately, the bar was closed that night.

United StatesJust know the building is very old, I had a converter for my blow dryer but it smelled like it was burning, so I turned it off. We had a room in the front lower level of the property, so very late into the night & early next morning we could hear every body passing by, that room would not be good for families with small children or light sleepers.
It’s not that far of a walk to parks, sights, great restaurants, shopping

IrelandCouldn't control the temperature of the room and couldn't open the window due to the sash window was at near floor level. I was staying with my 4 y/o son and it was too much of a hazard
The room was very spacious and clean

United KingdomThe occupants in the room upstairs from me were extremely noisy. Not sure if they were inebriated, but they were almost shouting and banging the floor a lot. Was unpleasant and woke me up a couple of times. Major building works across the road were also quite noisy.
Location was useful for the course I was attending. Room was clean and comfortable. Staff were pleasant.

IrelandIt would be nice to have a pot of coffee at breakfast so you can help yourself. Would be good to have non sugar containing yoghurt and chopped fruit option. Would also be good to have bran containing breakfast cereal. would be good for business travellers if the breakfast opened earlier on week days.
Have stayed twice in the older part and the newer section. Rooms clean plenty of towels and great showers. Everything you need and good to have proper cups and plenty of coffee

United KingdomCould have made more on the website of the fact that there was a club out the back - we got lucky it wasn't on but others might not. Breakfast was ok but no real veggie options offered on hot food.
Great location, just a short walk from St Stephens Green. The room was comfortable as was the bed and thankfully the night club out the back was not on so it was quiet.

United StatesThere policy for to go breakfast is not good. We had tours planned. The one front desk placed our request even though we were just. Checking in an 3 hours past deadline. We were out next day Lon a tour and didn’t get our request in. Policy is by noon. We asked at 6:00 pm. All it was was a bar juice box sandwich yogurt. He refused. Said we needed to get request in before noon. He wasn’t flexible for our travel plans. We had tours planned but food on way to tour bus. We paid for hotel room which included breakfast and or to go bag. I feel their policy was too rigid. Didn’t take a chef to fill a bag Then I came in after being on a tour and found my suitcase moved off a ledge and on floor. Everything messed up. Then one day elevator not working and we are on 4 th floor. I have knee issues and it was very hard going up and down. Disco on Thurs-Sat. Don’t plan on sleeping 11pm-4:00am. Very loud.
Location Clean Some front desk staff very nice one gentleman not

We have stayed in the Harcourt a few times now. We find the location spot on, value hard to beat. Rooms spacious and comfortable. Staff helpful. Check in was a breeze. Good entertainment in the area. There's a Luas stop outside which is handy. Perfect hotel for a weekend exploring Dublin.

SlovakiaVery comfortable hotel. I was afraid of noise because I saw reviews, but our room wasn´t noisy at all. View from window wasn´t pretty but We didn´t mind that. We were woken up in the morning by seagulls at the window. :) The staff was nice and helpful. Room was clean, everyday we got fresh clean towels.
