    Great, relaxing
    • Leisure trip
    • Solo traveller
    • Small Double Room

No mattress protectors, some people slamming doors late at night, not being able to open the window more

Big window in the front room, coffee machine, comfy bed, great shower, minifridge and having access to microwave in the front lounge room.

I couldn’t figure out how to turn the heat down or off, adjusting the thermostat and turning the switch did not seem to yield results and it got rather hot at times.

Clean and modern, including combined tap faucets which I did not have in the rest of my Ireland travels. the location is also great with lots of bars, pubs, and restaurants just down the street as well as a full grocery store and bus line downtown.

The carpets were dirty and the room was very hot, they left a small fan but it made no difference.

The location was amazing. Very central and good bus connections. Room was cosy. Bathroom was clean and modern. Check in was easy. Great value for money.

The reception is not manned what would be so handy if anything is needed like new towels or any other cleaning service. Payment at arrival is not available and has to be done over the phone. Some spots in the bathroom could have done with a more thorough cleaning.

The rooms are spacious with very comfy beds and good bathroom facilities. If you're a little familiar with the city and know your way around it's a good spot to stay away from the hustle and bustle of the city centre but still be close enough to get there quickly. Free parking is definitely a bonus.

Very good, except for the lack of air circulation (or air conditioning).

    • Couple
    • Double Room
    • Stayed 4 nights

The window in our room did not open much, so we could not get a cross-breeze going during what we understood was a rare heatwave. We were, as a result, perspiring constantly when in the room and it was difficult to sleep at night.

Once we figured out the bus system, we appreciated the location more. It worked out very well. The room itself was very nice and an excellent value.

No. 9 suited my needs on this visit and fitted the bill.

Prices are high at the moment, we’re all aware of that. I think the pricing in No. 9 could be lower because of its basic concept (no breakfast and no permanent reception on the premises). Since cleaning is on demand, far less cleaning will have to be done, and since there is little or no reception, guests tend to organise themselves, likewise less work for staff. My coffee-making device didn’t work properly although someone checked it out on my request.

The location is ideal, access to bus and luas, central to the city, good shops and cafés etc. nearby, quiet area. Facilities are available (fridge, tea and coffee) which is much more convenient than breakfast included. Cleaning (fresh towels, top-up of teabags, towels etc.) is available on request, this also suits me better.

The room was very hot and I am a very warm person and do not sleep without a fan, we did open the window but this provided us with very little air coming in as it only open a tiny bit.

The size of the room was just what we needed for our stay, as we only stayed for a few nights. Bus stops were really close this was good for us as we used public transport for the whole of our visit.

Found out after the fact that it is a receptionless guest house, not a hotel. My mother was staying and had to climb steep steps which was not easy. The external smoking area is not properly managed so cigarette butts on the ground outside, which is unpleasent, right in the downstairs access area

Nice clean decoration, modern facilities with tea/coffee in the room. Bonus ironing board which was useful.

accommodation is very basic; not quite like the photo, just plain white linen and bed sheets, no colour in the room, sink in the room rather than the toilet, but everything was clean and in working order so no particular complaint

very easy check-in / check-out process, free parking on-site was very handy & staff for booking and changing date of stay were very lovely to deal with; shower was piping hot and amazing!
