Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IrelandFor the price we paid for the room, which was a Junior Suite, it was extremely disappointing. No mirror in the main bedroom. No robes in the room. Sheets were stained.

United Kingdomselection of food was extremely limited, nothing 'normal' or served plain, sometimes one would just like a steak as it is, or at least the choice ... everything came with a sauce or spiced etc. Bar staff are very very slow.... 15 mins for a beer!? god help them if it was busy!
location, great check in staff, sorted an early check in as room was ready! comfy bed! great shower & fab breakfast!

United KingdomThe noise from a party in the hotel and from people on the street made it difficult to sleep. If staying it would be worth requesting a quiet room away from the main street if possible.
The room was spacious and clean. Great location in city centre. Staff were friendly with a quick check in and out process.

UkraineHotel furniture need renovation. Doors on the floor were damaged, sealing on our room was also damaged. Dirty plates and glasses were on the tables in the lobby and near the rooms for a long time. When we checked-in, no one helped us with luggage.
The room was big enough, the hotel is located quiet close to the historical city and main tourist places. Breakfast was tasty and variously.

IrelandFood and drink were extremely expensive. We stayed 2 nights over Christmas, had Christmas dinner booked for 5pm and they couldn’t find our booking. Eventually they accommodated us after a lot of fuss which was very upsetting for our daughter. This was extremely unprofessional and disappointing.
Great location right in the city centre.

IrelandCheck in is from 3pm. We had 2 rooms booked for 5 people. When we arrived at the hotel at 4pm one of the rooms still wasn't ready. Baring in mind we were going to a show at half 6 and we needed to all get ready. When I asked the girl how long would the room be she told me about half an hour. I explained the situation and she told me there was nothing she could do and proceeded to look at me like I had 10 heads. So we all squeezed into one room to try and get ready. It was 5pm so I rang reception to ask about the room. She told me it still hadn't been cleaned. We eventually got our room at half 5, just as we were heading out the door to the show. Not a very good service from the girl at reception
It was very clean and centrally located. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful

United KingdomRoom wasn’t ready at checkin, which was meant to be late at 3pm anyway. Room wasn’t ready until 4pm. Excuse was used that the hotel was busy, which might be true but not a customers problem. No real compensation offered despite this altering our trip plans because we had to come back earlier than planned.

IrelandWe thought we were booking for the location with the airport shuttle. We were then stranded at the wrong location because they wouldn't use the shuttle to bring us to the correct location. The TV didn't work. Staff tried and failed to fix it. The room was chilly all night in spite of us turning up the heat.
The bed was big and comfortable. They provided face cloths. There was a huge tube and the shower was hot.

United KingdomThe lady at the front desk during checkout was extremely rude. We had a very simple ask to her to split an invoice between 4 different people. She refused and just told us to go and contact booking.com which I did on the spot and she ended up doing it after wasting 10 mins arguing for no reason! I can't recall her name but she was Spanish. Other than that, all the rest of the staff were extremely nice and helpful but she just ruined it all!

Czech RepublicI have been to 65 countries but never experienced this in my life. The party in the Hotel of this level in the lobby until like 2 am was just annoying. We are young couple who likes to party, but I think that in Dublin you have plenty possibilities how to enjoy time at a party and not to bother guests with this. The room with door with other room is just not accaptaple at any price. It is not private, it is not convenient, I dont want to share anything with my neighbours, we could hear every word and even had to listen to the TV of our neighbour and then until 2 am had a party below us. Thank you, but never again. For 250 euro per night it was just disgrace, awfull, never again. Just hate it, absolutely hate this hotel.

United Kingdomwe paid a lot of money to stay here, we checked in and the tv had no signal what so ever!! we told the receptionist and they said they will sort it as the last people who stayed in the room the night before also mentioned the tv! when we got back in the evening the tv still was not sorted… mention in the morning about the tv again and they said they won’t be doing anything about it… for a married couple who never get away without kids and this was the first time and over spending on a hotel… we wanted to make the most of our room and not check out till the very last minute of 12 midday! we wanted to just chill out and laze around and yes of course abit of tv too which we could not do!!
good location only a short walk to bars and everything was a 20 minute walk to museum and guiness factory and castle… you don’t need to waste money on taxis your better off walking everywhere.

United KingdomCheck in was very poor with an abrupt and slightly miserable young woman who told me nothing about the hotel. Not even a hello and welcome back etc. The duty manager came to see me and apologised. I almost certainly will not return to this hotel when I'm in Dublin.
Easy parking and a comfortable room. Nice bar area but the lights could be dimmer. Bar service is efficient and friendly.

United KingdomArrived at reception having booked in on line treated with hostility. Given room for wheelchair access having paid for superior room. Returned to reception and spoke to another receptionist who was helpful and appeared to find a room immediately. She then consulted original girl and embarrassingly said there were no alternative rooms. This was at 10 am!! Realised there was an issue and asked to speak to the manager. within 2 minutes was given keys to a normal room - allegedly a superior room but certainly the farthest from the lift(351). We noticed a piece of paper on the corridor carpet under the light. It was still there 5 days later when we left! The breakfast coffee changed after 3 days from very good to undrinkable. The breakfast buffet food was barely lukewarm. Generally while most of the staff were friendly and helpful they appeared to be a lack of training, management and quality control. Corridor walls had many knocks and looked shabby.
Staff mostly friendly and well intentioned.

IrelandI have to say the reception staff were very helpful when a friend of ours arrived late and helped put her up in our room instead of her been on her own, But the first room we were given there were hairs on the sheets and a stain on the bed sheet wen we rang to complain a lovely blonde lady came up and was very nice and changed us to another room. Wen we got to the other room it was lovely but very disappointed the bathroom wasn't cleaned properly and hairs all over the sink and floor, we decided at this stage to say nothing because it was to much hassle. We ordered 3 steak sandwiches in the bar 3 ham and cheese toasties came down we were given a discount for the mix up and after a long wait the original order came down and was barely touched cold steak sandwiches the bread was rock solid but we said nothing it wasn't the waitresses fault what was goin on in the kitchen but trying to get a drink was a nightmare at the bar and u could see the people around us were all the same trying to get service. So in all we were very disappointed with the bedroom, food and bar staff. The reception staff were lovely and done there best..for the prices the hotel charges they really need to up the level of service.

United KingdomBooked 3 rooms. Asked for adjoining rooms in advance. When we arrived found the rooms were NOT adjoining. Went back to reception and had another lengthy wait. Tood there was no rooms available then when i pushed they Finally got adjoining rooms on a different floor but were disabled rooms for 2 people and not 3 adults as we had booked!! No mirrors in the rooms just 1 in bathroom. Really felt let down as this took sooooooo long to sort out and left us late for an event.
