I went to the hotel with my fiancee expecting a pleasurable experience. Upon arrival I was met by an abundance of people that seemed to be here seeking refuge, not what i expect from a 4 star hotel and the money that was spent it was expensive for one night. I was awoken the next morning by loads of kids running up and down the corridor at 6am in the morning. Overall not a good experience and very unsettling for my fiancee and I.

My only fault was that I would have preferred to be made aware that there are refugees staying in the hotel. My heart does go out to these people but it did impinge on the mood. There were alot of these people lazing around reception areas in pjamas etc and drinking shop purchased alcohol out of plastic glasses. This just made us feel a bit uncomfortable. I think had we known the hotel was being used to house refugees we would have stayed else where. For future stays I will be checking to see if this is the case before committing to a stay.

We have stayed here on numerous occasions and love to come back, it is clean, tidy and the staff are very helpful. We used the spa and as alway it was amazing. Food was also top class.

the noise 24/7 ( at 2 am in the morning people shouting and babies crying, people walking the steel stairs with the redo I g sound hitting the walls resulting in zero sleep)

Radiator made very loud noises during the night. Children running up and down the hallway late at night (from 11pm to about 01am). People being very loud outside the room (not very soundproof)

no entertainment. no sleep because of extremely loud guests very loud heating system that sounded like a drum being beaten in the room at 4am

the dinner was nice but it was New Year’s Eve and there was no entertainment of any kind. children and teenagers were playing soccer in the lobby all night and when we went to bed because there was no point in staying up for New Years in the awful environment we could not sleep because people and children were screaming and running up and down the corridors between 3am-6am. dreadful.

2 bees in my room 1 was above bed in ceiling other was in the shower which I washed down the drain. Next morning there was 2 more bees 1 buzzing between net curtain and window as I opened the window there was another one near the hinge of window so hunted 2 of them out the window at 7:30am and left window. Had late check out until 1pm but house keeper was about to knock at my door at 12 noon to see if room was available. 1 bathrobe was stained other bathrobe the hoop for the belt was broken. Toilet had a poor flush had to flush it about 4 times to have a clear flush. The telephone was not working (was plugged out).

Good location Food was nice a bit of small portion. Garlic bread that came with pasta was very hard and dry ended up putting normal butter on it Receptionist Abi was very helpful and very chatty had most of my dealings with Abi. Aoife was nice too only dealt with Aoife once. Room was in quite part of hotel. Got a complimentary upgrade but was disappointed with a few things (listed below)

well I wouldn’t stay here again I would like to have been told the hotel houses Ukrainians because the floor I was on there were kids running up and down and screaming to well after 11 pm I’ve nothing against kids and understand that they can make noise but i was there trying to rest after a long day driving for work and I expect to at least have a quiet nights sleep

Accept for the room, the hotel was cold. The side of the function room where we were seated was freezing. The lobby was cold. One of my fish tasted a bit funny and I vomited soon after the meal.

The room was spacious, warm and plenty of hot water for a bath. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

unable to get decent room service at 10 pm on night of arrival. What we were given was poor value for money.

Food was small portions and cold. Kids pizza was unediable burnt. Service in restaurant was extremely slow and staff had no idea in relation to coeliac diet. Twice I asked the waitress to clear the table between dinner and dessert and she walked away and did not clear table. Breakfast was awful. "Hot" food was freezing. Bar area was cold with no heating last night as was the lobby. Be safe to say I would be returning

I was just unlucky ROOMS WERE NOT READY UNTIL AFTER 5 NO PILLOW CASES AND BEDS NOT DRESSED AND RECEIVED PILLOW CASES AT 11PM ,THEN WENT TO SPA GOT 4 SWIMMING CAPS AND PAIR OF SWIMMING GOGGLES AND MEANTIME FIRE ALARM WAS GOING OFF AND ON . i RETURNED TO THE SPA TO BE TOLD SPA WAS CLOSED WHICH WAS MAIN REASON FOR STAYING , so ended up driving to city because spa closed and fire alarm going off, had food in restaurant which soup was cold ordered breakfast in bed which we never received and rang reception but no answer until after 8 am AND END UP GOING DOWNSTAIRS

Food was very skimpy for the price. Staff agreed with me when I commented but still charged full price. Just disappointing. Breakfast was never approached after sitting to order breakfast from the menu. I was a solo traveller it seemed staff were more interested in larger tables

Loud music just outside my room window, had to keep the window closed and there didn't seem to be functioning air con so the room was very warm. Phones didn't work in the room so couldn't call reception or room service. Ordered room service but there was confusion with the order and it was missed, when it arrived it was overcooked. The lasagne was like a brick.

Comfortable and spacious room. Friendly and fair staff. My room service order was a disaster but the staff member at reception was apologetic and offered anything I wanted free of charge to compensate which was fair.
