How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Bathroom needed a bit of extra attention to cleaning. Could hear too much if what was happening in the hallways/other rooms
Comfy, inviting, well equipped room and friendly staff. The food was amazing

No control on the temperature of the room. Too hot. Uncomfortable

The room was really loud (adjacent room doors and hallway chatter) and the towels were worn (holes in the washcloths)
The location was drive able from city and hotel room was spacious

Some parts of the hotel need maintenance upgrades. The elevator was glitching at times, several of the vending machines didn't work with cards, and the leisure facilities could be cleaned more frequently.
Every single member of staff we interacted with was amazing. There could not be a kinder team working throughout all departments of the hotel. The room was warm in freezing cold weather and the water pressure was amazing. The food was decent and breakfast had generous buffet offerings. Our room and bed were huge.

Got Prosecco and a free upgrade upon arrival. The bedroom was lovely , spacious and clean. The pool area was lovely and jacuzzi outside was great. The reception staff could not do enough for us.

Our TV did not work for full duration of stay. Reported it, nothing was done. This is poor; the stay was not inexpensive.
Breakfast was better than expected, however it is clear they need a restaurant manager to oversee topping up of buffet. Staff need a more training with how to interact with guests.

Service in the dining room.
Room was nice and clean. Staff were lovely but unfortunately there were a lot of delays at dinner, waited nearly half an hour for a drinks order. The manageress then said we wouldn't be charged for the drinks. Lovely people but a bit disorganised.

I wish the pool was open a bit longer, but I understand that it might be difficult to staff beyond 8pm.
It is conveniently located on the outskirts of Limerick proper, with easy access to public transit. It is clean and cosy, the rooms are large and warm. And the staff are always friendly and engaging.

Dinner we have 2 young kids with us we where there sunday and monday not busy ordered dinner at 6.15 had starters in 20 min. but then over a hour to get our mains and the veg and mash was cold we had to send back. staff was very nice and did comp kids deserts . Monday was a lot better and food was good but hard not to be sunday was not good i would not have eating there only we where staying there and did not want to bring the kids to town in the evening.
Breakfast was very good loads of choice very happy with that 2 mornings, and swimming pool

Shower over the bath was narrow. Bottom of the bath had a slop so may have been difficult for some to balance. Would have also been difficult for someone very tall.
Check was fast and very friendly. Dinner in the bar was very nice and service was friendly and fast. Bedroom was very comfortable. Very comfortable bed. The room and bathroom were clean but the bathroom is a little tired. A great location when arriving late into Shannon airport. I would stay there again.

The bed is very firm. A bit of cushioning would help make it more comfortable. The shower is in the bathtub, so it's a bit awkward to climb into and out of the tub to take a shower.
