Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IrelandThe bathroom door makes noise.. a bit of oil will be able to fix it. There is no extractor in the bathroom or it wasn't working.
Staff was super helpful and friendly. Swimming pool was amazing! Kiddos loved it and the hours were perfect. Room was great and they placed an extra bed for us which is was great!

IrelandOverall the hotel was lovely and unexpected. The children loved the pool area and the facilities were impressive. Location was great. The only was I felt not having breakfast included in the price toom away from the value. As a family of 5 to eat breakfast at the hotel would have been quite pricey. Otherwise thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend to others.

IrelandBreakfast to be serve yourself, getting served by the wait staff was a little slow. Would have liked to bring the kids around and let them pick what they wanted but this was not possible. Food was good but we would have liked some fruit with breakfast but the wait staff never came back to ask if we would like more breakfast.
Room was really nice, swimming pool was perfect

IrelandThe Sutton bar was the evening restaurant too. We had our lunch in the Sutton bistro which is just a bar that serves food. When we booked our evening meal in the restaurant we were directed to the Sutton bistro too. Where the menu was very simular to the lunch menu and the children's menu was the same as there lunch menu. This was very disappointing. I thought when we were booking into the restaurant it wud have been more formal and quiet but it was noisy and just the Sutton bar again. Pillows on the bed were lumpy amd not at all comfortable. Staff were very friendly
Breakfast was nice and location food.

IrelandChildren couldn't go to the pool until 9am - not ideal for families with kids that are awake from 7am and can't wait to go swim. We hadn't booked breakfast as part of our deal and despite being told walk-ins were welcome, we were not told that walk-ins were only welcome after 9am - also not very practical for families with younger kids! Step down into the jacuzzi is crazy low, nearly fell in, definitely an accident waiting to happen.
Pool was lovely, changing rooms were good and showers were nice with temperature controls

IrelandGood venue, but a bit tired and staff, while perfectly pleasant, were not great in terms of speed, service and attention. Another hotel that lacks a management team on the floor, calling the shots. We booked two rooms. One was fine, the other a bit older and less good. Overall it suited us for a one nighter but nothing to bring us back.

IrelandThe women's changing room by the pool was absolutely freezing, normally I'd get on with it but I had my baby with me, she felt it . Wasn't the only parent who commented either. What brought the room comfort down was unfortunately the location of our room, I'm not sure if it was the water tank/drainage system above us but my god the noise and it was throughout the night. Needless to say we didn't sleep much. Paid for breakfast the next morning at check-in and felt slightly robbed, basic menu for €14pp, It wasn't worth the extra at all. Was so disappointed. We ordered the Fry which was a tiny portion on a large plate, wasn't warm. Porridge, on the menu sounded delish "porridge with raisin and cinnamon compot" but in reality was oats in water and wasn't warm. I was so angry but we just laughed at it and left. Didn't comment at the time as we wanted to get on the road ASAP.
Great location, room size was ideal for a family of four and the staff really are what makes it.

IrelandDid not like fully served breakfast. Menu on table has sparse details of what is available and server gave us very little time to choose and offered no information on available options . Would have preferred some self-serve buffet options and just order cooked food. Would totally put me off returning. Shower head very difficult to adjust, especially for short person. Window opened but we couldn't close it again. Some of the pillows were very firm, uncomfortable to sleep on.
Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Very clean and lots of storage. Good location for our purposes.

IrelandRestaurant very average . Not worth price. Also whole hotel is very impersonal. Entry reception very open large space . Hotel has massive space but impersonal ,cold ,not cosy or personal. Very poorly laid out overall .....entrance especially is like a large vacuous empty hall.... needs a make over and someone with an eye for cosy decor. Also not very disability friendly .
