Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CanadaBathroom had little shelving for personal affects for more than one person. No face cloths available . Tv not up to our expectations. Ever heard of cnn.
Most of our bus tours started before breakfast was served. Therefore start time needed to 1 hr sooner. Only ate there once where it could have been daily. Food was ok.

IrelandIncredibly hot room. There was a free-standing fan provided in the room. It had a two-pin plug, so I had to request an adapter at reception, which was a bit strange. The fan was filthy, but it was welcome. I had it on for hours, but the room was still far too hot, even with the windows open (although they only opened about half an inch). The room was a decent size, but the bathroom was uncomfortably small. The rooms aren't at all soundproofed and you can hear people moving around, whispering, etc in neighbouring rooms. I'm not a light sleeper, but I still woke 5-6 times in the night due to the noise level. It was somewhat disconcerting as any time a door opened/closed in another room, it sounded like someone had entered my room. There were several lights in the room, but they weren't very bright. The curtains aren't thick enough to block out the light from outside and there was a large gap under the door, meaning the light in the hallway (which was left on all night. It wasn't activated by sensor and no staff member turned it off) came through and ensured the room was never dark. Overall, I certainly wouldn't stay again, nor would I recommend it to anyone who had another option. It was fine for one night, but if I'd booked for more than one night, I'd have been seeking alternative accommodation. Very, very disappointed.
Good location. The decor is quite nice, and there's plenty of storage (drawers only. No wardrobe). Comfortable bed.

United KingdomThe room was very small. The curtains didn’t fit the window and a street light lit up the room all night. The soundproof was very poor and we were woken up throughout both nights say, this was also due to the single pane window and noise from the buses. Also the staff smoke on the steps outside the hotel, meaning our room was full of cigarette smell most of the time. Breakfast was a shambles, one man trying to cook, clean and serve. All of the foods had ran out by the time we had a table provided. Then we needed to ask for cutlery, plates, butter etc. no end of problems. 20€ per head and we were served dried up bacon, eggs and beans. No service at all! Real shame.
The location to the city is good. The room had a coffee machine which was a nice touch.

AustraliaThe only thing I would mention was the price, but it seemed in general Ireland was expensive in comparison to what we are used to.
On arrival we were welcomed, all questions answered and quickly settled into our room. Room was comfortable and location of hotel allowed us to easily seek food and look around.

United StatesI had gotten stuck in Dublin during a layover after a nightmare of a travel day and found the Hotel George after the Aer Lingus staff recommended I look around on booking.com. The Hotel was lovely - it had a quaint yet elevated bed and breakfast feel to it with a ton of Irish charm and character. The location is also amazing because you’re right in the city Centre with plenty of options for food, sight seeing, and not too far from Pearse station if you need to take the train anywhere. The staff were very friendly as well and recommended good places to eat nearby and organized a taxi for me to the airport the next day. Overall I would absolutely recommend this place if you’re looking for an authentic Irish-feeling hotel experience without all of the (unnecessary) frills and whistles of a huge hotel chain.
