There was initially no one available at check-in, although it was advertised someone would be there. There are no charging ports by the top bunk. The beds were uncomfortable, with springs in the mattress. The location was very noisy - expected because it was so central, but made it very difficult to sleep. The bathrooms and floor were very unclean. At about 9am one morning, someone came in to start making beds for people who had checked out, waking the rest of us in the room.

It was totally false advertising, no reception area, whole place was dirty and unsafe.

I arrived at location. I couldn’t find it as front door is old and dirty not as displayed. No receptionist only girl working in pizza parlour answered door handed me key and room number. I went to room which was dirty with 6 males there and bags and bed clothes everywhere. I immediately left and handed key back. I expect a total refund.

I didn’t really like the fact that the windows couldn’t open, the smell inside our room shared by six people was awful after just a few hours… The bathroom was okay, very very small and there was only cold water coming from the sink. Even though the staff was always nice and welcoming, most of the time there was no one at the reception and we had to ask the pizza guys most of the information that we needed and sometimes they couldn’t help us because they didn’t know

The locations is phenomenal, literally 2minutes walk to Temple bar! Other than that, I would say the structure is quite mediocre, me and my friend shared a bedroom with 4 other people, the roll was perfectly clean but the real problem was the temperature! Way too hot and since you couldn’t open the windows there was always an awful smell inside :/ The staff was very nice and always welcoming though!

What I observed was that WiFi is not steady,which sometimes looks frustrating when doing something online,I reported the issue but at a stage I noticed that nothing could be done

Horrible experience! When we entered the hostel we saw that it shared a landing with a pizzeria and they had the door open; everything smelled of the pizzeria and it was very unpleasant. In our room there was a landing and despite having a door with a password the guys from the pizzeria went inside to have their cigars and watch series at full volume during the night. The person we shared the room with spent the whole night going in and out of the room. In addition, one of the top bunk beds had a grille right next to it that opened onto the street through which cold air came in. The only "best thing" was the cleanliness of the sheets because the cleanliness of the room left a lot to be desired.

My mattresss springs were lumpy but I had taken a sleeping bag and put this onto of the mattress. Perhaps new mattress for beds that had springs. Perhaps have some Lockers in corners of room.

The Staff were excellent kind n friendly. They kept it beautifully clean. The location was excellent for getting about.

The place looks worse in reality than in the photos. The double bed is more like a single bed. The windows are not properly sealed and they are super drafty. The bathroom was at some places moldy and also super cold thanks to the drafty windows, so taking shower in such a cold room was quite unpleasant. There was no warm water going from the tap of the sink wither. The water in the shower was mildly warm. The hostel is located in the area pf pubs, we were ready for noise from the street. What we didn’t expect were drunk people in the hostel shouting, banging and arguing loudly in other rooms in the middle of the night and the stuff wasn’t even there to do something about it.

The location was perfect. It was probably the only good thing about the whole hostel.

Very poor facilities. Essentially a room of bunk beds above a pizzeria. Bed: uncomfortable. Cleanliness: borderline. No common area place to relax other than the bed. Very bad smell - had to sleep with a surgical mask. Quite noisy - sound from outside is very obvious.

Easy to check in and out. Location was superb. It is close by everywhere, there are two convenience store just across the place, a couple of restaurants, and bars around as well. The room and toilet were clean, with towels provided.

Facilities poor lucky to have a kettle and microwave. A little more would be ideal like a small kitchen. Springs on mattress hurted my back sticking up as it was worn. No mattress protector on bed.

If you’re looking for a decently priced hostel in the middle of Dublin, this is the place to do it. The beds aren’t incredibly comfortable, but what hostel bed is? It is a little confusing on how you get into the hostel, but if you go straight to the Apache Pizza, they will help you get checked in because it is directly attached to the pizza restaurant. Highly recommend if you want to be close to all of the sites and shopping Dublin has to offer!

There are keypads on a couple of the doors which need a code, a little hard at first but I soon got used to them. Also though there are sockets in the rooms they are on the floor so not great if you are on a top bunk. Also no lockers or underbed storage boxes. But you can put valuable in a store room on request. No curtains around the beds so limited privacy. Obviously because of location there is noise in the early hours from outside but I personally didn't get my sleep disturbed at all. A fridge near the microwave etc... would be useful as well as some basic crockery/cutlery and cups. I just went to a charity shop nearby and bought what I needed.

The place felt safe and secure especially for single women like myself. Location is the best ever for Dublin, it is less than a minutes walk from The famous Temple Bar Pub. Beds were very comfortable and the whole place was cleaned several times a day. Keys instead of cards which I preferred. Being next to the pizza restaurant was an added bonus and you get 30% off as a guest. The staff were all amazing and helpful. There is a microwave, kettle and toaster on the second floor that can be used 24/7. And you can come and go as you like.
