Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesIt was so cold in our room and no matter how we messed with the thermometer it was still freezing. However it wasn’t horrible.
The location was great and we made it to our ferry in just 15 minutes!

IrelandExcellent service from friendly staff, gorgeous room with lots of little details which made our stay so enjoyable. We went to Collins Bar the downstairs cocktail bar for food and drink which was gorgeous and buzzy - food and drinks delicious too! Would definitely love to stay again.

United StatesThe hotel is very new and a few things didn't work quite as expected. I assume it's because they're still working out some kinks. The rooms have very fancy heated Toto bidet-toilets, which is great. However, the one in my room seemed to have a mind of its own. Any time I walked into the bathroom or even moved a few inches while in the bathroom, it would whir into action. Sometimes it even started up when I was nowhere near the bathroom. Maintenance was supposed to fix it, but they never showed up. Also, the HVAC didn't seem to be working either, but I didn't bother calling because no one responded about the toilet. I only stayed one night so it was no big deal.
I really liked this hotel. It's brand new and everything seems well done. It's near Merrion Square so it's within walking distance of most things, but definitely off the main tourist track. The rooms are bright and comfortable. One of the best things about the Leinster, though, is the Jean Georges restaurant on the roof. The restaurant is beautiful, the food is great and the vibe is friendly and not stuffy at all. I would definitely stay here again! ((And I would have rated it Exceptional (instead of Wonderful) if a few minor issues had been worked out.))

Roof top Resturaunt, decor, menu, food, staff 10 out of 10. The attention to detail of the interior design of the hotel throughout is very very impressive. Choice of furnishings, paintings, wall paper, bathroom fittings, stairs rail, architecture detailing is fresh and wonderfully done....

United KingdomRoom size inadequate. Nowhere to store two suitcases. Nowhere to empty contents of suitcases as drawers full of objects. Not enough flat surfaces. Not enough floor space to avoid having to shuffle sideways or one person climbing on the bed to allow the other person past. Gimmicky toilet beeps and whirrs all the time.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Quality of the decor.

United KingdomNothing terrible but… They charged my card for the first night before we arrived, and then took full payment for the stay on arrival. That’s unusual compared to pretty much every other hotel I’ve ever stayed at. The sauna area appeared still to be under construction at the time of our stay (January 2025). The standard room is a bit small, but OK for a weekend stay as long as you don’t have much stuff!
Great central location. Everything is new. Design is stylish and modern.

Sadly the breakfast was poor . There was a long wait for service- the tea came 20 minutes after the food and we had to try to gain the attention of the staff to ask for it. The poached eggs were cold for both of us as was the toast. There was just a sense the staff were not trained

IrelandThis was a birthday present but we were not informed in advance that there was no access to a residents bar or that the cocktail bar was not open. We had hoped to meet our family for champagne but had to take our celebrations to another hotel - this was disappointing

United StatesThe rooms are not designed for practical use - no room for luggage, the switch to use the plug beside the bed is near the window which makes no sense, the shower never drained properly and despite raising it several times was never fixed. The spa never opened and there seems to be no plans to open it in the future. I raised several issues with staff during the course of my stay and none were resolved and nothing was done to try to make it right.
The location is great - its right beside Merrion Square so is walking distance to the city center but far enough away to not have late night noise.

United Arab EmiratesStaff in the bar area did everything they could to encourage us to not seek to use the bar to get food at night. We had traveled all day and were very annoyed that a medium cost hotel seemed to think it ok to not provide an evening meal (even bar tapas) to guests.

IrelandI got a ‘superior room’, the window was broken so we had to gather our things and leave. I booked with breakfast included, but now I have been charged an extra €40 as I do not have proof on my booking that says breakfast included. It shows you when you are booking, ‘breakfast available’ or ‘breakfast included’. Now, obviously I wouldn’t be writing this speel at 10:55 if I didn’t choose the breakfast included option! Just money grabbing at its worst, dirty snobs.
I liked the paintings
