The room was small and got noisy at times but that's to be expected when choosing to stay at a lively pub. No TV in the room.

Very unique accommodations that felt cozy and welcoming. The staff was very friendly and helpful. You can tell they work really hard and truly care about their guests.

Our room was a bunk bed single over twin. It was a bit tight and if the inside person needed to go to rest room in the middle of the night the person on the outside had to get up to let them out.

Having visited for meals several times I always wanted to stay here and have now achieved that. I should have chosen a night when music was on but the food is always excellent and I can't wait to return for the music!

Quaint front bar, cosy and welcoming. Staff were superb, attentive, and caring. Rooms are modern, warm, fresh, and clean. Breakfast was plentiful Dinner was delicious

The room was a pod it was a little small and it didn't have a window so it did feel claustrophobic

The staff could not do enough for us, we would like to thank Sinan we think he was the manager he was amazing Catlin was another staff member who was exceptional we have mentioned two my name but they were all amazing. The hotel was spotless and the food was great. The only negative thing is the room has no window so my wife felt claustrophobic

From when you walk in the door, you get a local homely sense. The food was exceptional and worthy of high praise to the chef and every piece was perfect even right down to cute stencilling on the head of a pint of Guinness. Location wise, it’s perfect for Sliabh Liag but also an ideal commuter base to the environs albeit exploring Glencolmcille Folk Village, Silver Strand or onward into Killybegs for a wander around. Rooms are fresh and new and have exactly the requirements needed for anyone who is touring around the area that wants a comfortable space to rest their heads at the end of a busy day. Honourable mention to Kathleen and Sheila who made me feel very much at home but all staff were equally very polite, helpful and friendly which all contributed to a 5 star stay.

5* Stay! We stayed at the Rusty Mackerel this weekend and all I can say is that it was one of the best accommodations I have stayed at in Ireland. They welcome my husband, myself and our pup with welcome arms from the get go. The staff could not do more for us and being so accommodating with our dog. I have not came across another place like this in all of Ireland that is so dog friendly, it really makes a different! Dinner was excellent with really reasonable prices, rooms where super super clean with all the amenities you need, drinks were cold on a hot Irish day and as another plus, they had some lovely live music! I would 100% be back and recommend to all our friends and family! Staff fantastic and atmosphere in the Rusty was great a real buzz all day and night. The food was amazing and again every single one of the staff were so nice live music great and the decor was super. Also best Guinness I have had in a while.
