Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesWhile not an issue for us, there is no lift, which could be a problem for those with mobility issues. The historic nature of the building means the city has denied the hotel permission to install a lift.
The location is fantastic...steps from Trinity College, Grafton Street and all of downtown Dublin. Easy walk to anywhere. The location is on a quiet street. We were there the weekend of both Ireland defeating All Blacks and the GAA All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship. The town was crazy, with fans celebrating joyously. But this location, just a block away, was quiet and a great respite from the noise. The staff is efficient and courteous. The Italian restaurant right across the street is wonderful. The room was a bit small, but it worked for us as we didn't spend much time there. Overall, a great place to stay.

IrelandAn early check in if possible in the future for those traveling by plane would have been a nice addition but did not take from the overall trip.
I booked 2 of the rooms but my family stayed in 4 rooms in total. Some of us came by plane others car. We were met with amazing service. Many thanks for all.

IrelandLydia at reception was an absolute star. So welcoming and a personable. Greeted us by name with a lovely warm smile, any manager would be proud to have Lydia as their front of house. We had the cozy room booked and Lydia gave us an upgrade which took the sting out of the €300 for one night price. What i will say is this was the best value we could find for the Friday night. Rooms very comfortable. Tastefully decorated with lovely artwork and lots of very nice books to flick through. Breakfast was up there as one of the best we have had. Service was lovely and food was 10 out of 10. Restaurant area reminded me of New York again tastefully decorated with a cool view of Kitchen. Keep up the amazing standards.

CanadaThe room was extremely comfortable and had everything we needed and extra thoughtful touches like a heated towel rack, comfy robes and a coffee machine. If you’re driving there’s a park axe across the street that they will give you a discount card for.

IrelandWe had a cosy room which was perfect for one night. If staying here again would take a larger room if staying in Dublin longer. The room was however very well finished, comfortable and perfect for our visit.
Location excellent and perfect for visiting Dublin City centre.

CanadaWe ended up on the top (third) floor - and there were LOTS of stairs. Although the staff carried the bags up, we had to carry them down. That is easier to do when you are under 70! We HATED driving into and out of Dublin! The Irish must think that they can save money by eliminating street signs - but that is an extreme aggravation (and the GPS didn't assist until we were OUT of the city!).
Staff was very accommodating, and helpful. Breakfast was excellent. The location was great for walking around Dublin, and we can strongly recommend visiting the EPIC museum (when you can find it!).

IrelandI will be staying again next time I'm in Dublin I will try not to book last minute to get a better deal on the price of the room. But naturally that's the way it goes no fault of the hotel. Construction work woke us up at 9am. No Biggie
Night Porter staff was amazing. We were left to our own devices. Reception staff very helpful. Didn't have the breakfast but a really pleasant stay. I can't stress enough how nice the night porter was, give that man a raise he really would go above and beyond for the people staying there 👍

United StatesIt doesn't have an elevator so you'll have to carry your suitcase in a flight of stairs.
The breakfast was a very happy surprise! It's served in a beautiful restaurant with a glass roof, there is a large selection of dishes and all were delicious! The staff at the front desk and breakfast were very welcoming and friendly. The location is very central (a couple of minutes from Grafton street). The bed was comfortable and the bathroom very clean!

United KingdomThe basement location of our room was a surprise, but it was quieter than expected, except on our last night when we were woken by someone banging on the hotel's street door just above us.
The location was excellent, within walking distance of most attractions and convenient for LUAS trams for more distant places. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and well furnished, though the basement location was a surprise (see dislikes below). Breakfast was good and the breakfast room turned into the Library Street restaurant in the evening, with an excellent though pricey menu. Just across the street is Dunne & Crescenzi, a first rate Italian restaurant, with a wide range of other eateries within easy walking distance - though make sure to book well in advance, particularly at weekends.

United KingdomBreakfast of porridge and fruit was nice although we were surprised it was not within the price. The rooms were well designed and when it was clear that the air conditioning triggered my husband’s condition and meant he couldn’t sleep the move was made for us and this was much appreciated.

United StatesWe were first placed in a basement room which was quite terrible for our breathing - a faint must or mold that gave us terrible allergies, but they moved us to a first floor room after our first night which did not have the smell. I understand with older buildings it’s hard to combat that and really appreciated that they were able to move us when we let them know the issue.

United StatesPotential guests with limited mobility should be aware that there is no lift and the 12-foot ceilings mean that the climb to a room on the upper floors is quite daunting. The bed took up most of the space in the room, leaving no place for a chair or desk and no place even to open a suitcase, except on the bed.
The room was well appointed, the bed comfortable, the location, adjoining Trinity College and near St. Stephen's Green, was excellent. The breakfasts, with many choices and cordial service, were excellent. Adequate WiFi and a working thermostat in the room. Good local restaurants. Taxis easy to hail nearby.
