Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

BelgiumIt is truly sad that I payed the full amount while there was no breakfast and no cleaning service available because of the current situation. I understand that the hotel was quite empty and it is difficult for the hotel too, but you can AT LEAST give me a discount because I had no breakfast at all during my stay.
The rooms were more than fine for a short stay. Tv, water boiler, money safe, airco and heating, wifi all available in the room. The room was small, but comfortable.

ItalyRooms Cleaning can be much improved. Some rooms are extremely small for two people, in the first room we were there wasn’t even the space to open our suitcase as the space was totally occupied by the double bed. The price is really high for the services given (but that’s a problem in all Jerusalem unfortunately)
Position is convenient, common spaces and the larger rooms are very nice

ItalyRoom Cleaning could be definitely improved - there were small insects often in the bedroom. Also change of towels and bedsheets should be more regular.
one of the hotels with the Best prices in Jerusalem! common areas and breakfast are good, staff is nice. We were put in an extremely small room initially, with a broken shower, but we asked to move to a bigger room and staff was supportive.

United StatesWe had a problem with air conditioning our first night's stay, but staff was attentive and accomodating, allowing us to sleep that night on another floor without moving all our luggage and then returning to original room in the morning after a/c was fixed.
The staff was very welcoming and accomodating; the breakfast outstanding; we were able to securely park our car right in front of the hotel; only a short drive to the Old City.

Slovakiawe had a reservation from booking.com for two double rooms for 4 people. all confirmed. it was necessary to pay at the hotel reception. for incomprehensible reasons, the hotel evaluated that I only had two people paid. One person in each room. They required us to pay the full amount of the room for two people, which would amount to 1003 euros. In any case, they could not explain themselves and did not even accept the clearly stated on the booking confirmation that it was a reservation for 4 people. Suddenly, when we showed it to them, they changed our reservation on booking and increased the price of the reservation. In the end, we do not know for what reason they proposed a payment of EUR 130. Since we were pressed for time, as much as we were in a hurry, we paid for it because they didn't want to let us out of the hotel. Unreal attitude. We have been traveling with booking.com for many years, but I have never really experienced this anywhere. A very dubious method of collecting payment from the client. I definitely do not recommend. You don't know how many times they will think of asking you for money.
the location of this hotel was the only plus.

PhilippinesI didn’t like how the check in process took so long. The reception guy had to make calls regarding our booking and I wasn’t sure what the problem was. He also looked so tired, and sleepy which I think is not suitable for accepting guests. We want lively, smiley and welcoming faces. We wanted to extend for another night, which was initially approved by reception. We left our bags in the room and went for the Dead Sea but came back after 20 mins. because we had to leave my mother’s Insulin shots (diabetic medicine) in the hotel fridge, but we were told that the hotel was fully booked and that we have to leave. I had to pack up really quick which I think was very inconvenient specially that reception already said yes we can extend. If I knew how good the location and services were (helpful guy), I would have booked for the whole stay.
I like the hotel’s location, a bit far from the Old City but they have free parking spot right outside the hotel. I liked how one guy (I am not sure if he was a hotel staff), upon seeing that my mother is disabled, really made us feel welcomed by parking my rental car for me in the specific hotel spot, took our bags and carried it up so I can assist my mother better. He offered us water to drink and even helped us all the way up to the hotel room. Services like this is priceless. we liked our room, it was very cute and clean, plus comfortable. I also liked that the elevator goes all the way to the lower floor where breakfast is. The food was also of good variety and delicious, we enjoyed the caramelized potato.
