Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

IsraelHas only a small window so it was a little stuffy and moldy. There is no cell reception only the Wi-Fi (which worked well but cat talk on the phone). Passcode to the unite arrived late. Location very central but everything is closed at night and it is a little scary when alone.
Beautiful place, well organized. Had a kitchen and large bathroom.

IsraelThe soap was over. The Tv didn't work and couldn't be fixed. The environment was very loud. The entrance wasn't convenient.
The suite was big and nice as it's look in the picture. It's closed to the main attraction in the old city.

United KingdomThe room had a strange smell. At first I assumed this was just the smell of an old historical building but it seems like it was the smell of sewage coming from the bathroom. The smell was quite unpleasant.
Fantastic location, right in the heart of the old city, a few seconds walk from the harbour with restaurants and cafes on your doorstep. The room is huge in an old historical building with a very comfortable bed.

We felt like we were really staying in the heart of the old city, and it was great to be able to step straight out into the ancient streets. Facilities were all superb. Great communication with the hostess, who was also extremely helpful.

United StatesThe only challenge was finding our place because so many streets are unmarked or identified only in Arabic. We would recommend identifying the place as on the street perpendicular to the end of the main shuk street (closer to the port), turning left as soon as the market ends, walking past Cafe Turkiz, with at least one nearby art gallery on the next corner (Naomeh Art Gallery), and keep walking down the alley.
This place was amazing! It was beautiful, atmospheric, quiet, and gave you the feeling of living in Old Akko. The renovation of the space provides great amenities too. It is located close to everything in Old Akko. We don't think you can do better. Also great was the service (make sure you have Whats App on your phone). The host reached out several times before we arrived with directions, accommodated an early arrival, and then updated us again about a Muslim holiday celebrated on the same day as our arrival which meant no cabs were available to enter Old Akko (bus service is pretty good and can get you close, although this would not be easy with lots of luggage). The host was responsive as we made our way to our place (which is obvious when you find it) and during our stay. Their attention made a huge difference and was a big perk. We hope to go back! We had a great time.
