IndiaWhen I arrived at the hotel, the price displayed on Booking.com was ₹656, but I was charged ₹735. Upon check-in, they attempted to provide me with a small room instead of the family room or double-bedroom I had booked. I had to argue with the staff and show my booking details to ensure I received the correct room. The initial room provided was not clean at all. The floor was dirty, the lighting wasn’t functioning properly, and the overall condition of the room was unacceptable. I requested a change, and although I was moved to another room, it too was in poor condition. The room had not been properly cleaned, and even after I complained, the staff made only a superficial effort to clean it, using just a paper towel without any cleaning solution. The common areas of the hotel were equally disappointing. The stairways were filthy, and the litter bins contained cigarette ashes, adding to the unpleasant experience. Overall, the cleanliness and maintenance of the hotel were far below acceptable standards. This experience completely ruined the mood of my tour. The condition of this hotel is far below the standards expected on Booking.com. Such a poorly maintained property should be removed from the platform. As a loyal customer who has been using Booking.com for the past six years, I have never encountered a situation like this. However, after this disappointing experience, I am seriously considering exploring other booking websites.
