The best thing at Beyond Home is hands down, Rinu. She is an important human being in that accommodation. She cooks extraordinarily. Her food is super delicious and you can tell by the taste of it, it is made with so much love. Also her character plays a vital role there. She cares so much about the people staying in Beyond home, I witnessed how appreciated she is amongst the people who stay there. This place would be a home without soul without her. Thanking her from my heart for making me feel welcome, and my stay so enjoyable.

The fan’s sound was a little disturbing at night.

Breakfast was really good. You can experience the comfort of homemade food, and it’s included with the stay.

Great atmosphere in the house, everybody was very nice and helpful. The housewoman was amazing, the breakfast and dinner soo good. I recommend it!

We were bitten by mosquitoes every night. The room should have been provided with a mosquito spray. The toilet cistern needs a coat of paint. The bathroom walls and door requires a thorough cleaning. The pillow I slept on could have been softer.

Loved the breakfast! Loved the location! The best part of our entire stay was the in-house cook, Rinu. She was amazing! She was like a burst of sunshine and made us feel so welcome with her cheerfulness. She served us delicious breakfast every morning with a beautiful smile and we would look forward to the evening just to see her charming face! The owner, Mr.Hanif, and his daughters were very friendly. The shower in the bathroom was excellent!

The fan regulator was not working in my room and as such, since the speed could not be adjusted, it was quite noisy. Overall cleanliness also could be improved upon.

For the international traveller, please note this is not a typical backpacker hostel. This is a women’s hostel, housing mostly Indian students who are in Kozhikode for college or internships. As such, please expect a different ambience compared to a hostel filled with travellers. The vibe is entirely different, although it is indeed a new experience and one you might want to make! The room has four bunk beds and you’ll have access to a locker. Although I didn’t avail of it, complimentary Indian breakfast is available. Rinu will be on-site all day and she is the lovely and bubbly lady taking care of the cooking. The en-suite bathroom has a shower and closet, however no sink. As for the shower itself, the pressure is not great and as such, you’ll have to use the bucket. Do not expect a room or main entrance key. The main door is always open and although the room does have a key inside, individual ones are not provided to guests. Keeping in mind that this is not a backpacker hostel, it makes sense and it felt extremely safe in general. I was in town only for a few days for the Kerala Literature Festival and spent virtually no time at the hostle other than for sleeping… however I also had the chance to meet some lovely people.

The bunk bed is too short - I couldn't fully lie down on my back (I'm 168cm), and blanket is not provided. There is no sink or mirror in the bathroom, the ventilator is very noisy, the temperature in the room was hotter than outside. Lots of mosquitoes and in the morning I saw huge a cockroach in the room. I only stayed one night (instead of two) because I got very sick and I had to book a different hotel.

The hosts are very kind and helpful. It's a simple hostel mostly for local students, not an international hostel. Everyone was friendly and breakfast is offered, although I didn't take it. Good price for a short stay.

I can't imagine a better stay than this place. The host Rinu was endlessly caring and kind. I feel like I'm getting the tastiest foods and healthy sweets every moment. She is the best cook and host by far! Before I have never experienced this kind of atmosphere what she created in this hostel. Soooo beautiful. In addition I also met kind, helpful girls with a good sense of humor. The girls took me to the temple. I learned a lot from them about their culture and they made sure I had the best experience from this city. I recommend this place 100% . thank you with all my heart. Wish you Rinu and girls all the best and see you next time.

I really had a 2 days good time. Rinu was too good and very lovely.I loved the food she made and the care she showed😍❤️.I met some awesome hostel girls over there, they gave me really good company.The stay owner was very friendly he allowed me to check in early without any extra chargers. Over all I had a good time and which is really really affordable stay.❤️

The mosquitoes are many.. So it would be good if a Mosquito repellent is provided in the room. Also on one night, electricity went, so it was very hard to sleep without fan and with mosquitoes.

The location, the hospitality and the food. Reenu, the host.. Soooo caring. I couldn't believe the way they all cared for me. At night when I got late, they called me to check if everything is fine. 🤩🤩☺☺☺ I loved my stay at Beyond home. It was just like a home. I already miss that place.

One of the best stays i ever had. What a hospitality!!!!!!!!! The Rinu chechi made me remind my mom and i went home straight. Never gonna book anywhere but Beyond home for all my usual trips. For real Beyond home... Rooms are neat and clean and food for this Price?? Awesome.

Nothing at all

This is one of the best hostel I ever stayed. There are ladies only hostel, mostly like PG type, they allow short days stay also. Best one for female split travellers, especially if you are new to city this place is good option. The rooms are so clean, spacious and well maintained. They provide tasty kerala food also here. Staffs are so friendly. They take utmost care of the people staying here. That’s the best about this place. Renu chechi and the other chechi(forgot her name) both are so good people. I loved staying here. I will definitely stay back here again.

If I need to say something it would be the bed & pillow. A bit to hard for me but it worked.

It’s not like hostels I’ve been to before. It’s more like a home. I felt comfortable & safe there. Got to know friendly women’s & I really got spoiled with love. Rinu made such a good food with passion & love. Unique & sweet woman. A real sisterhood. Recommending!
