Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomCannot thing of anything but we knew what to expect. If you want luxury, it's definitely not that.
After traveling to India from the Cayman Islands for eternity and crossing 11 time zones we wanted to start our trip slow. Deciding between Palolem and Patnem I have to say I'm glad we chose the latter. Patnem is much calmer, quieter place and Casa Beach hut Resort was the perfect choice, providing the peace and quiet we were seeking. The huts are basic but you have everything you need in them - a bedroom w a fan and a/c, a shower room w hot water (not that it was needed but I appreciated anyway). The little patio outside our hut was nice too but we rarely sat there. The main sitting area/lounge was our spot, whether for food, enjoying sunsets or playing cards. The food was fantastic and when I requested a swap (salad for chips) nothing was a problem. I'm a keen tea drinker and frequently asked for hot water for my evening decaf tea and was granted my request with no hesitation. The staff was very friendly and attentive, making sure we have everything we need. On our last night they joined us playing cards which was a lot of fun. Palolem is a short ride (although we walked there) and will satisfy your need for more lively environment. We, however, still preferred Patnem.

IndiaWe had insects (cockroaches) in our room and the Wi-Fi was not working and the mosquito liquid was over and they didn’t change it. Not worth for the price. The food was too costly.
Nice beach view.

IndiaThe location is excellent, right in front of the beach. Food-wise, the quality and taste were good overall. However, the chicken quality wasn’t great—but that’s understandable, as Goa is known for its seafood, which was excellent. Pros: • Great location • Friendly staff • Tasty food (except for the chicken) Cons: • No dedicated parking. Guests have to park in an open space about 1 km from the resort and walk to the property. While doing this once is manageable, it becomes inconvenient if you’re frequently heading out to explore. • The parking is paid, and guests have to bear the cost. Given that the resort doesn’t offer parking, they could consider covering these charges for guests staying multiple days. While it’s understandable for restaurant visitors, it feels unfair for those staying 4–5 days. Overall, it was a good stay. If these aspects don’t bother you, the resort is a great choice for a peaceful and less crowded getaway, perfect for a relaxed holiday.

United KingdomThere was no mossie screen on the windows nor mossie net so we couldn't have the windows open at night to have nature close to us. We don't like fans and aircon. The music was a bit loud at times.
The location, staff, beach beds and vicinity to the sea. Usually a nice vibe with chilled music and nice chill out area.

United KingdomCheck your bed before you settled in your room as there were insects on the bed. Staff friendly however not attentive and some times lazy. You feel like they are on holiday too. Food quite good there.
The location right next to the beach but not close to the road so you need to curry your suitcase all the way.

United KingdomHaving somewhere to hang a few clothes would be great. It was at the very far end of the beach with no tuk tuk or car access - so the staff have to carry your bag from the road to the huts the back way. This means at night you have to walk along the beach to get there, but despite being on my own, I felt safe as I was back by 10:30 pm and there were still a few places open.
I had a side sea view hut and despite the hut being very basic - no where to hang clothes - and not like the lovely photo in the description it had a very comfortable bed and pillows. The A/C worked and so did the hot water 😊 The staff were lovely and friendly and the food was very good 😊
