location was not appropriate as you have to park the car 300 m away and then get to the hotel. bathroom and bedsheets were not fresh. also, morning breakfast was not so good.

The location of this property is perfect. It's rights besides the lake. U can spend hours looking at the lake and boats passing by. Full points for the location. Host - a jovial person

Chilanka Lake View has the best location to enjoy of the backwaters, rooms are clean and staff is hugely friendly and helpful. Thanks Joseph and Tijo!! They arranged a ricksaw for getting railway station at 6am when we left the resort . Thanks a lot!!

Location.!!!. View of the lake was awesome!. Tijo helped us a lot during our stay. We have booked shikkara boat ride through the chilanka and it was the best!! For anything ryt from room amenities to your tour plan you have TIJO☺️ THANKS MAN!!

WiFi was virtually non-existent! The only place it was possible to get a signal was close to, and facing the office! When making my booking, I did read in one of the reviews written by another guests, that he also found this an issue. Unfortunately it still wasn't resolved when I stayed (July 2022). Joseph told me that the internet router line had been damaged in a storm and that it would be replaced. Internet is essential for making travel arrangements, etc. Also there was no shower in the room (evidence of where the pipe for one once existed was there), so washing was by the traditional method of a bucket and jug! The covid pandemic has hit most Indian business very hard economically, especially in tourism, but for a very small amount of money and effort, these problems at the hotel could easily be resolved. Hopefully these will take priority and be resolved to this otherwise really nice property!

Spacious and clean room. Nice property and location on the waters edge. The manager, Tijo, was very helpful, friendly and kind, making arrangements for boat trips, kayak hire, tuktuk, restaurant recommendations, etc. and I enjoyed many conversations with him! A very nice and friendly person who certainly went out of his way to make my stay enjoyable! Tijo's brother Joseph, the owner of the property, was there on weekends and was also very friendly and accommodating, as were the staff, Jayanthi and Kairali. The breakfasts, which were included in the price of the room, were good. There are no restaurants nearby, but a short tuktuk ride into the main town for about 200 rupees solves this problem! There are always tuktuks waiting at the bridge on the road. If you want to order in food, Tijo was able to do this.

The resort is located amidst a lake and the view from the resort is great. Tijo is the one who attended us and he was brilliant, he helped us with almost everything from carrying our luggage to providing us good food and making sure that we were comfortable at the stay.

The rooms facing to the lake don’t get wifi signal. these rooms are the most expensive, so should have it. The room wasn’t perfect clean and the bed linen should be better wash.

the room is spacious, in from of the lake. great place to rest and see the boats and the sunrise. The breakfast was amazing, homemade food and coffee or tea.

With the high rating here, we expected the rooms to be cleaner. Some of the furniture was broken.

Tijo the owner was extremely nice and helpful and did support us in anything we needed. The location is very nice even though it is not easy to find in the first place ;) It's very nice to sit outside and enjoy the backwaters including good breakfast.
