How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

My husband and I traveled to India on our anniversary. In the midst of noisy and loud Varanasi, Coco Cabana became a corner of comfort and coziness for us. 💓Everything is top notch. Delicious buffet for breakfast, caring staff. We didn't have a local room and the staff helped us double order food and book airport transfers to and from the airport. Would recommend everything

The Wifi did not work due to cable issues caused by monkeys in the area. While understandable given the location, it was still inconvenient.
The staff's friendliness made us feel welcome and at ease. The room was spacious, accurately matched the booking description, and comfortably accommodated us with a double bed and a sofa bed. The breakfast buffet offered was tasty and provided a satisfying start to our day.

Just the location its bit inside from main road 3-4 min walking distance but the property is very beautiful

The property and rooms are quite nice and spacious. The locality is peaceful. Staff is quite responsive and friendly. They were also kind enough to accept our personal request for a cake for my parents anniversary.

I personally had a bad experience as I had specifically requested for a lift in hotel, for my senior citizen mother, and after paying at the time of checkin, I was informed that the elevator was broken! For 2 full days the single elevator in the hotel was non operational! It finally was operational on the 3rd and last day of my visit. That was a major bump in my stay. Plus their breakfast is nothing special and very limited with options being repeated almost daily! Also if you're looking for parking then the hotel doesn't have any parking inside their premises. The car is to be parked on the road alongside a park inside a residential area.
The hotel is newly built. The rooms are all suites and are clean and very comfortable. The staff is cordial and the service is good. They offer a small kitchen in the suite so that's a benefit. The hotel is located inside a residential area so it is peaceful as far as noise is concerned! The breakfast buffet offers 5 types of fruits almost daily which I loved!

No electricity during check in and we had to wait. Thy provided us with tea and coffee. During the nite we as a friends group were joking and laughing till very late nite. The window for the room was open and the noise seemed to have disturbed the neighbor Buddhist house. Suddenly the staff showed us and were extremely rude and asked us to check out immediately.
Cleanliness but when we reached there was no electricity for next 1hr.

Pretty far from the Kashi Temple, no food options nearby as it is in a residential area. Also tough for senior citizens as getting to a lift also needs one to take stairs
